5. Do you have a favorite or ‘lucky’ piece of clothing? What is it?
Yes!
God this feels ridiculous. But I'm going with it. Nearly three years ago I was on a plane that had to return to the airport and have an emergency landing. We spent two hours circling over the Irish sea to dump fuel, and I sent my mother a "I don't know what's happening, I'm scared, I want you to know I love you" text. It was terrifying. And bless the crew they were being great, but I'm an avgeek so my brain was going to SO MANY POSSIBILITIES. We ended up making the news in Ireland, and my dad had been staring at our flight on flightradar24 for the two hours, terrified for me. (Turns out we needed a spare part that had to be flown in from Atlanta, we were able to take off on that plane the next day. Landing in JFK a panel from the ceiling fell down, so gonna be honest very glad I'm off that plane)
That day I was wearing a blue velvet skirt and a tshirt from one of my favourite bands. It's my favourite outfit to this day, and I make sure I'm wearing it any time I get on a plane. Which yes, is ridiculous. But I landed safely when I wore that outfit, so I'll keep doing it.
