thing everyone should know: i have not killed Tails off in Infested because I think he's annoying and I don't care about him or that he's The Solution To The Problem so I had to get rid of him or whatever for the sake of convenience.
I killed him off because I deeply care about how he's Sonic's little brother and how much they love each other and lean on each other and a world without one or the other would devastate them.
I killed Tails in Infested not because I hate him but because he's so compelling to me, just as Sonic is. Because his absence creates this hole in the hearts of not just Sonic, but EVERYONE who's EVER known that boy. A boy with so much compassion in his heart, brimming with so much potential, cut short before he could even call himself a teenager.
