I still haven't forgotten this I'm just really slow shfbfkgl but this is the last post I have for the suikoden i section of the suikoden museum in Tokyo, and it's all about flik! plus viktor. but what they did is that they gave flik all the attention in the suikoden i section while viktor gets his spotlight in the suikoden ii section.
what really stuck with me about flik's parts here tho is that in his bio, there's two sentences that are machine-translated as:
Another key figure in the story of Flik is Viktor, who fought alongside him since the early days of the Liberation Army. While neither of them ever spoke openly about their relationship, numerous records indicate that they were “bound by a strong bond of mutual trust.”
and like, obviously this can mean anything, but that's the point I think. it really reminds me a lot about those historians talking about someone who never married or someone who was very close to their friend of the same gender. the whole very good friends kinda thing. which like, in a museum that collects relics of the gate rune war and the dunan unification war, I thought this was a really nice touch that also caters nicely to some of the fans' more ummm active imaginations 😌🤭
but I think also that the director herself is a fan of viktor and flik! you could tell by the way she knows the memes about flik's shit luck and the red balloons:
so I won't be surprised actually if his bio definitely has her bias on it which well works for me 😂
