Acrylic Pouring 🔥
Noah had always been the self-proclaimed “king of party dares,” bragging that there wasn’t a single challenge he wouldn’t do. Tonight, at his friend Jenna’s house party, his friends decided to call his bluff.
The rules were simple: every time he lost a round of flip cup, he had to ditch an article of clothing. After losing his shirt, his socks, and even his watch, Noah stood in nothing but his underwear — still insisting he could win the next round.
By the time the photo was taken, Noah had just lost again and realized he’d have to run one full lap around the backyard in his current state before he’d be allowed back inside.
The party roared with laughter, and Noah, despite looking a little embarrassed, was grinning a moment later as he bolted out the door. The crowd cheered him on like a marathon runner.

It's been a whole year since I last posted fluid art and I was really in the mood for it today, so these happened 😀 Spent half the day on them and I'm not feeling completely exhausted and sick, which is absolutely amazing! It's so good to see I'm still getting better, no matter how slowly. This really gives me hope that with some luck I could be back to my old self by the end of the year or so. ✨ Also it's nice to do art things, and things in general at my own slow pace 🥰
The two larger ones are flip cups, while the three smaller ones are dipped to make use of what's been dripping from the other ones.
2017. Flow paintings, also called flip cup paintings. Acrylic paintings using the "flip cup" technique. It actually took a bit of experimenting to get the process down (and lots of scouring the internet for information). It's not readily visible here, but there are also some metallics and flourescents. Also some of Stuart Semple's Blackest Black. I actually have detailed steps on how to make this for those interested. I have more on my Flickr and more still have tons I need to document. I’ve apparently been lazy. https://www.flickr.com/photos/shannonbuchanan/albums/72157667436832969
