I love being a therm viewer. Can't wait to introduce more people to conmackulations. "I'minthe truck like spare tire" is up there with "check it out I'm in the house like carpet" for the why the hell did you write that line awards

I do not understand how people can call Condi the normal one. Condi Condifiction? The Garfield suit guy? The one who DM'd Apotheosis? The only member of the council who dropped the kinlist? The creator of hatsune meat cat balls monday?

I feel like Condi and his characters have like. An air of normalcy that fools people. But you gotta remember that Jay fell for a vampire lady who sucked her blood. And Vyncent canonically eats rats. Rolan Deep had a panic attack from smoking weed, Emizel chose to bite a vampire after being bit, one of the Apotheosis gods just got carried around as a meat sack and was an asshole, I could go on with literally any Condi character.

Like they're all "normal" on the surface but have such a STRONG undercurrent of weird that it's impossible to have the character without it. You CANNOT tell me Condi is the normal one when he's the point-man for some of the strangest bits in the whole show. I love Condi Condifiction and how every one his characters positively BUZZES with not normal.

I imagine Kristoph Gavin was a 2nd violin in a string quartet when he was in college. He's absolutely the kind of guy to have played violin, and I would imagine he LOVED like. Haydn. But he's not showy enough to want the first violin position. And he gets SO perfectionist about the whole thing that the quartet ends up falling apart after 6 months.

So when his little brother is the lead musician in a successful band? AND has passed the bar and is about to debut as a lawyer? It makes Kristoph So Fucking Mad. Why does Klavier get to have everything Kristoph has strived to have. Why can Klavier do what Kristoph couldn't.

Kristoph doesn't know that behind the scenes Klavier is just as much of a control freak with his music as Kristoph was- Klavier is just able to keep his relationships based in kindness enough that it doesn't all fall apart.

i have discovered the jwri via the I Forced My Friends to play D&D's Worst-Rated Adventure. it is funny, silly even. would you recommend purchasing a membership to see even more funny and intentionally silly shenanigans.

OH MY GOD. OH MY GOD INCREDIBLE. Yeah I ABSOLUTELY would recommend purchasing a membership. I love these guys so much. I also will give you a rundown of the campaigns and their funny and silly rankings. Bc I want to. In order of publishing for ease. (With caveat that they're all pretty goofy just bc of how the players are)

Also I have the Rolleds tier; it might be overwhelming to get coming in bc it's a LOT more material but after most episodes they record a recap where they talk about the episodes and kinda goof off. I like it for the candidness :)

Riptide- Public. Pirates campaign!!! Have heard that one piece was a big inspiration for this. Includes such bits as dumping gold into the ocean to appease the tax fish, improv show where one of the main characters pulls a card that sends him to another dimension, and ace character reads a book about his grandpa's sexcapades for a stat boost. SHENANIGAN RATING: MEDIUM (they do a lot of bits but the DM keeps them on the rails and cuts off bits before they get insane)

Prime Defenders- Members Only. SUPERHEROES!!!!! My favorite of the campaigns. DM has an attitude of "I will let you do whatever stupid bits you want but there WILL be in-universe consequences". Includes bits such as the ghost of party city, Le Frog (French frogman idiot recurring villain), insanely jealous bisexual hits his crush with a car. SHENANIGAN RATING: HIGH (so many of the problems they face are Bit Consequences. That doesn't make them any less tragic!!!)

Apotheosis: Members Only. Short campaign about two super-powerful beings and the little guy they found along the way killing a bunch of gods. Condi DMs and he DOES NOT know how to reel in players so it gets WILD, PLUS they're trying to make Bizly laugh for a bet. Bit Highlight: drunken bidet fight, "One day you will learn to slay pussy like you slay gods", Charlie doing the Markiplier moan sound repeatedly to get his secondary character voice. SHENANIGAN RATING: HIGH (there's so many bits here. So many. Truly iconic.)

Blood in the Bayou: Members Only, mini campaign (i think like 4-5 episodes). Run in Call of Cthulu so inherently more horror based. A lawyer gets peer pressured by his high school besties into doing drugs and also oh god the town is bugs. Bits include: one of the PCs jerking off in the hospital, high school teacher who's a crazy prepper, and barcode the dog, voiced by Charlie Slimecicle, whose bark is not doglike. SHENANIGAN RATING: LOW (the horror starts hitting EARLY. REALLY good writing but the bits are sparse due to the Scary)

The Suckening: Members Only, short campaign. In the Vampire the Masquerade system!! Imagine parent trap except both of the twins are vampires. And their parents are missing. And they're trying to survive. And Edward Twilight (full name) is trying to take over Los Angeles. Actually maybe this isn't like parent trap. Bit Reel: bestie named Soda hypnotized into no longer being able to drink soda has to go to rehab about it, vampire PC trolls blood and bone scientist vampires via his Adam Sandler resurrection powers, Taylor Lautner is a werewolf and wants Edward Twilight dead. SHENANIGAN RATING: HIGH (the bloody and gruesome only helps to highlight how insane and goofy everything that's happening is)

Wonderlust: Public, mid-length campaign. Steampunk world where animal people live below the society of humans above and repurpose and create inventions with their trash; trying to find an elusive Inventor to deliver him mail. Bits highlight: if you stutter you have to knock out the guy who saw you stutter so they don't remember, YOU DUDE!!!!!, "IF YOU DONT HAVE A FOOT FETISH THEN WHY ARE YOU LETTING PEOPLE WALK ALL OVER YOU???" SHENANIGAN RATING: MID-HIGH (Troy (Charlie's character) really carries so many of the shenanigans. They keep on track with things but there's so many great quotable moments)

Total Monster Kill: Public, mini-campaign. Two misfits and your classic JRPG monster hunter join a monster hunting society right in time for it to be usurped due to a long-term conspiracy. Bits include: Alph the Alpha Elf (main rival), Jin and Everett arm wrestle to the death, the crew spend the entire ride back from a mission (and first 10 minutes of an episode) holding back barf as DM Grizzly begs them to stop. SHENANIGAN RATING: LOW (takes place over such a short number of episodes that all the action had to happen quickly)

Judgement: Members Only, short campaign. Three people are sent into trial by combat for assassinating the old king and are broken out by a friendly (but odd) plague doctor. They have to figure out how the old king died, why people in the town are getting listless and sick, and what is up with those mosquitos? Sampling of bits: Pathetic wet cat god who got divorced and now is moping all the time (to a pc who only believes in The One True God), Big Ass Vaccine That Gives You A Big Ass, 600 horny horses (oh god oh fuck why.) SHENANIGAN RATING: SO high. What the fuck. (I love condi campaigns so much truly they are so off the rails)

The level 20 oneshot where they all make up things that happened in the rest of the campaign. Similar energy to worst rated adventure. Search jrwi the final episode on YouTube to find it

The early oneshots! When they were rebranding, Charlie Bizly and Grizzly all ran oneshots to see what vibe the main campaign should be. These oneshots have characters that come back in Riptide and Prime Defenders. There is also a oneshot DM'd by Charlie that wasn't picked about a magic high school (with a satanic frat) that almost got taken over by rats. Great stuff

I’m so enamored with Troy and Blink’s friendship bc like. These are two people who have not experienced actual friendship for a long time. And both of them have built up defense mechanisms to deal with that loneliness: Blink does everything asked of him to be helpful and wanted and needed, and Troy puts on a facade of a strong popular sportsguy to appear tough and admirable. But these traits are also what drive people away from them. No one ever truly gets close to Blink bc he’s deferential to everyone’s wants, and it leads to Blink building up resentment when he continues doing good things and gets nothing out of it. Troy’s performance of popularity really just makes him an asshole, and he’s unable to be genuine and more likely to do stupid things that hurt people

And so over the course of Wonderlust both of them have been drifting closer to friendship through plot and shenanigans, and then pushing each other away through the same flaws that they developed to deal with loneliness. Troy puffs himself up, Blink deprioritizes himself; Troy takes advantage of Blink, Blink hides resentment for Troy that bubbles up at unhelpful times. Episode 15 felt like a crazy turning point bc they’re 1. Directly recognizing their own flaws, 2. Making a commitment to working on them, and 3. Agreeing to help each other with them. And like!! Isn’t that insane!! We met not even a week ago, have been through and put each other through hell, and now I see what holds you back and I will stick with you as we both grow to become people that others might also want to be around!!

Anyways this is why I think Troy and Blink as besties is the best possible outcome and I hope they continue on this trajectory of not making each other worse and in fact reversing course on that process
