Wolf smoked his cigarette, leaning against the inn’s wall when Sana dramatically leaned beside him and huffed, feigning despair. “Are you just going to disappear on me again?” She laughed and glanced at him.

He didn’t laugh. He continued to smoke, giving her only a single, quick glance. “Me? You’re the one who constantly teases me and then disappears.” He slipped his hand out of his pocket and lifted his cigarette to his lips again. Secretly, he enjoyed her games. It was the closest to being with her that he was ever going to get. He accepted that. He wasn’t the type of man she wanted, but oh, how she played with him. Wolf finished his cigarette, threw it on the floor and almost instantly, spun toward Sana, facing her, both hands on the wall against her.

She laughed, her eyes latched onto his, licking her lips and smiling eagerly. “Let me guess,” he said softly, “you’re going to disappear on me again before I can get that one taste you’ve made me crave since I met you.”

He began to move toward her, closing the space between them. She chuckled softly, her fingers gently pressing against his chest. Teasingly, she moved them up his chest and placed a single finger on his lips, stopping him a breath away from a kiss.

"Yes," she whispered and she slithered down the wall, escaping his trap. Wolf sighed, closing his eyes, and hang in this head for a brief moment before turning to watch her leave. She laughed, lifting a hand wave at him as she walked away.
