Sam: WE didn’t really love the food there [in Prague]
Jacob: Wow, didn’t you?
Sam: *knowing smile because he knows Jacob knows this* No
Jacob: *with fond disapproval* Sam
Sam: Jacob and I had dinner at the same restaurant every night.
I have so much to say about this. Sam using “we” right away knowing full well Jacob didn’t like the food either. But Jacob because he’s so polite and also wants to tease Sam asks “didn’t you?”. Sam with shy smile saying “no” as if “you know full well we didn’t” and Jacob’s little teasing flirty “Sam” reprimanding him but really he’s endeared &fond. Just … so soft and lovely 🥹
