july: what’s the hottest fic you have written and/or posted if you write smut at all? - Hahaha MAN, well. The third chapter of kiss me at midnight, where there is approximately 4,500 words of probably the best smut I've ever written? There is no competition there imo, at least not yet!

november: do you have any rituals or requirements for getting in the mood for writing? - Sort of? I'm at best a morning writer, so my ritual is usually to wake up, make coffee, take my [redacted], put on music, and write! But on the days where I can't do that (most days, cause work 😔), I usually just get comfortable with some music and hope for the best!

I think every pynch fic ever ahfjdjs But it's probably Home isn't always a place because I wrote it when I couldn't find anything like that to read or You smell like home because it was the fix-it I badly needed and decided to write and they both gave me a lot of joy while writing!

march: do you listen to music whilst writing?

Yes, I have music on basically all the time so while I'm writing it's on too. Though usually it just becomes background noise and I don't notice what's playing which probably defeats the purpose 😅

minutes: how long does it normally take you to complete a fic?

Depends on the fic. If it's a oneshot then a day or two based on how much time and motivation I have. With multichapters, then some months usually

WIP Tag Game

I was tagged by @flitwickslittlebrotha for this WIP tag game (thank you!). 

I did this in October, when it was just In One Piece (ofc!) and The Greywaren and the Magician sitting in a tree.  

This list now includes the untitled Coffeeshop AU sequel to a piece of a dream. Huge progress LOL. 

So I’m going to let everyone off the hook about sending in Asks, and post an excerpt from Ronan’s POV instead.

Ronan was still smarting from the disastrous date his fucking douchebag of a brother had set him up on. 

Apparently, Declan had told the other Ivy-League asshole that Ronan was an expert in ‘regenerative agriculture with a specialisation in precision farming technology’. 

Which wasn’t exactly wrong, had been Declan’s justification when Ronan had torn him a new one.

‘You need to learn how to sell yourself, Ronan’. 

Ronan had barked out a vicious laugh.

‘You sell yourself enough for the both of us, you lying piece of shit man-whore. Tell me, do they even buy you dinner first?’

‘Ronan.’

i'm definitely worried about him.... again i think whatever he is ~ up to ~ is for ronan's benefit but this kid sure is suspicious </3 i have to say the accent thing might bother me the most out of everything, not even because i'm like that is weird but because of the whole "he just had to pretend he was someone else when he was speaking" bit. as someone with a southern accent myself, i definitely know how to hide it/push it down whenever i need to but adam goes a little further with it than i would like him to and i just want him to get his accent back in tdt3 😔

ALSO I WON'T LIE THE TAMQUAM ALTER IDEM STUFF HAS ALWAYS FELT KINDA 🥴 to me says the girl with the blog title "alter idem" i can't fully describe it but it just feels like off. like it's cute but it's also just a little suspicious...... hmmmmmmm

i just hope adam isn't one of ronan's dreams because like sure, that plot twist hasn't gotten old yet, but the idea of adam losing all his agency from both series in one fell swoop will make me pretty mad, and also i can't imagine ronan, unknowingly or otherwise, dreaming anyone up into the life that adam lived ???? so here's hoping!!

this is not a suicide, let’s get that straight isn’t technically the title but my current opening line but it’s also descriptive enough that i kept it as a placeholder! ANYWAY after being found washed up on the beach and taken in at the local hospital, this girl (name pending) has time to reflect on the path that lead her to that exact moment every time she explains what happens. non linear, very unreliable narrator. semi-autobiographical. no snippets because it’s still in the outline phase and that looks more like my trying to remember what i was doing when i was 14 so yall are not seeing that asldkjads

fun fact about polycule: i have the entire fic bullet pointed out somewhere on my blog but i can’t find it ????????? the current iteration is a little different from that version anyway but if anyone wants to dig they can go looking for it lmao

other fun psycho killer tidbit: adam solves the mystery on the drive over because yes, he’s actually psychic, but he has so much fun with everyone that he doesn’t tell them he knows (also he and noah totally mastermind whelk’s murder (yes whelk still murdered noah in this one (all of this happens in adam’s intro pov lmao))).
