Some sprite animations I’ve done of my character Iris yesterday. Yes, I only did two frames of animation for each, I just didn’t want to make it too much of an eye sore, especially if they’re going to be used for a potential game. If you’re wondering what I used to make these, I used Pixel Studio, and I drew these with a 32X32 frame.
Sorry for not posting anything in a long long long long long time! I was busy with school and stuff. I promise to try and post more in the future.
In the meantime, have an OC! I don’t have much backstory for this character though. The only thing I have defined is that he’s a floating eyeball with psychic powers.
...So, let’s improvise a backstory!
In the Eyeverse, all living beings are floating eyeballs. In fact, they’re all actually a part of another creature, Shadhulhu, who exists as a conscience that connects all Eyefolk (This means, they all have their own consciences, but they also have like a voice in their heads which they revere as their god). However, one day interdimensional astronauts arrived, and hunted down all eyeballs, since inside them they had Vitreofneel, a liquid metal which only existed in the Eyeverse. They soon hunted the species down to near extinction (Apparently being able to travel across dimensions doesn’t make you a smart species), which wasn’t that hard to do since Eyefolk have no defenses, and there were only about 20 of them. Only one survived: Seyechic (yes, that’s the name we are going with).
Now, here’s a weird factoid about Eyefolk that I totally didn’t just make up: Their floating powers come from Shadhulhu’s magic. But that magic is shared between all Eyefolk, so it isn’t as powerful as it would be if there was only one. And now, there is only one member of the species. This means Shadhulhu can use all of his might through Seyechic. So they took vengeance: Seyechic and Shadhulhu killed the astronauts, and then used their ship to travel back to their dimension. There, they attacked, but where soon driven back by that universe’s interdimensional defense force. Seyechic and Shadhulhu went back home - they decided they were too weak to handle them on their own, and they knew that if Seyechic died, Shadhulhu would become a blind, deaf ghost, unable to do anything for the rest of time. So they now had no choice but to find out how to bring the Eyefolk species back...
To be continued... sometime in the future, when I figure out what to do with this character.
I had a dream about these floating goat eye aliens last October. Just got around to attempting to recreate them. I'll polish this up tomorrow probably but their deal was like: They lived on these giant spiral shell looking space stations and spoke through those little floating AI eyes that were attached to their chests. They were nice but those tentacles also opened up into little mouths and that's how they ate which was...off putting.
