The reasons Stanley loves the Losers (Platonically and Romantically)

Bill: [Platonically]Stan absolutely loves the fierce love and loyalty (and protectiveness) that Bill has for every one of his friends. He’s willing to do anything to protect (and save) them even if he’s afraid. [Romantically] Bill. Has. So. Much. Love. To. Give. He just does. He puts so much into loving someone. @scribedhorror

Eddie: [Platonically] Stan loves how brave Eddie really is. How he’ll do anything to save his friends (including standing up to his mother). The fierceness that is his attitude makes Stan smile even if it isn’t always a physical smile. [Romantically] Fiercely is probably the best way to describe how Eddie loves. He’s just got so many levels of fierceness when it comes to various parts of him and loving someone is just another way. @inhaledlies

Richie: [Platonically] Despite Stan calling “Beep, Beep, Richie” as often as he does, he does find Richie funny at times (not that he’ll admit it out loud). Richie’s loyalty to his friends is another reason because even though Richie has a big (trash)mouth, he’s pretty good about keeping secrets. [Romantically] Passionately. He’s also cornier which sometimes causes Stan to crack and smile (against his will if you ask him). @richietrashman @floatjokes @timetofloat

Bev: [Platonically] Her willingness to jump head first into whatever (the quarry, fighting IT). She’s always so willing to jump into saving others. If you ask Stan, she’s a firecracker. [Romantically] Even loving, she’s a firecracker. She loves wholeheartedly and she’s unafraid to love with the same fieriness that she carries herself with. @infernalrampage @hauntedxwritings

                 looking back on his small self on a few years ago, oliver never thought he would be the star quarterback in high school. after everything happened, that damn clown, his mother’s passing and the way his father treated him... he was pretty sure he would never be good at much of anything. that ended up being untrue. his growth spur was the stuff of legends. over a year he went from a tiny dude to six foot. he was big, he was fast, and he was cute. it never went to his head though, his mind was still the same dude. he never would become like the other jocks on his team. in fact, he only got along with a select few of them because he tended to call them out on their bullshit. which, naturally, they did not like.

                   the sky was dark, crickets chirping away, when he exited the stadium. they had won yet another game, and oliver took his time in the locker room. showering, changing. he was the last one out. his father obviously never came to these things and neither did his brother. his brother did ask if he could, but oliver told him not too. many time as a kid he thought he was going to die at the hands of henry bowers and his brother just watched. that wasn’t a relationship he was ready to fix. he bag was over his shoulder, catching sight of the other male standing on the sidewalk. “ i thought i heard someone screaming my name. i thought it was a cheerleader, but i guess it was you. ”

Since being back home after everything that they had gone through, Bill felt like he was just going through the motions. He had been thrust back into the movie he had left  in the middle of filming and buried himself in his work so that he wouldn’t have the time to let the emotions that were bubbling beneath the surface overwhelm him. 

But once that was over, he no longer had anything to distract him from the fresh horrors that haunted him and kept him awake even more than he was used to. He tried to throw himself into his writing, starting a new book, and yet every trick he had learned over the years to shut his brain up enough to allow him to get to sleep wasn’t working. 

Every time he closed his eyes he would see the kid who he had been unable to save or he would see Richie. Two more people he had failed and if Bill had the power he would trade himself in an instant to bring them back. Especially Richie. Even with all that time they had been forced to spend apart he found himself missing him like a limb. His heart ached and the guilt consumed him, the hollow in his chest unable to be filled.

Bill was resigned to feeling like a part of him was missing, which was why when he went to answer his door one morning, he was entirely convinced that he was hallucinating when the door opened to reveal the figure that had been ringing the bell. Exhausted and grieving, seeing the comedian now standing before him was jarring, but not surprising. Until, of course, he realized that maybe the Richie before him might not be his mind playing tricks on him.

“I---” The writer began, the heels of his hands pressing into his eyes hard enough to see stars before he let them fall away, leaving him staring dumbfounded when Richie was still there. The clown was gone, right? It couldn’t have followed him right? Hadn’t he suffered enough? Maybe IT was here to finish him off? And the voice in the back of his head was screaming at him telling him that this was Richie, that he would know the man anywhere. It felt like him.

   Rebecca was very good at leaving her brother alone when any of his friends came over, but that didn’t mean she wasn’t nosy. Kids really did pay attention to their surroundings, didn’t they?

   Eddie Kaspbrak had left, and she was supposed to be doing some homework, but Rebecca was staring down her older brother.

   “You’re always staring at him,” she told Richie, as if he had no idea. “Michelle at school always says that when you stare at someone it means you like them. A lot. You know, like.. like them.” Being only eight, she had no idea what that was like. She liked a boy in her class a lot, but it was definitely nothing. Just a kid taking a liking to another kid.
