41: how many stories do you work on at one time?
i always have to have more than one, because otherwise i burn out. i don’t know, i guess it helps keep my productivity up if i have multiple projects i can switch between
right now i have both reiner’s and diego’s route for voltage, and i’m also doing some heavy editing on the notorious kindlefic. i technically have a second kindlefic in WIP form as well, but i’ve set it aside while i devote all my energy to perfecting the first one.
44: best piece of feedback you’ve ever gotten
some of the comments i got on tgoed were heart-achingly sweet and detailed. i wish every fanfic writer got comments like those, it made the whole thing worth it. apart from that, i remember everybody who’s had faith in my writing in general. it’s invaluable to know i have people who enjoy what i write, on a personal or professional level.
45: worst piece of feedback you’ve ever gotten
i won’t put anybody specific on blast, but honestly, has any writer ever benefited from hearing “i don’t think you have what it takes to be published” or “just stop writing?” really? seriously? has that ever helped anyone? i don’t think so.
