Generic Flonase Nasal Spray (Flomist Nasal Spray) – Product Information
Generic Flonase Nasal Spray (Flomist Nasal Spray) is used for the treatment of the nasal symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic and nonallergic rhinitis in adults and pediatric patients 4 years of age and older. The active ingredient present in Generic Flonase Nasal Spray is Fluticasone Propionate. Fluticasone Propionate nasal spray is available as Flovent, Flixotide, Flixonase, Pirinase, Nasofan, Fluticone and Flomist.
Dosage And Administration
The recommended starting dosage of Generic Flonase Nasal Spray (Flomist Nasal Spray) for adult patients is 200-mcg once-daily regimen (two 50-mcg sprays in each nostril once daily). An alternative 200-mcg/day dosage regimen can be given as 100 mcg twice daily (one 50-mcg spray in each nostril twice daily).
Side Effects of Generic Flonase Nasal Spray (Flomist Nasal Spray)
The side effects reported in patients treated with Generic Flonase Nasal Spray (Fluticasone Propionate Nasal Spray) are headache, throat infection, nasal irritation, sneezing, cough, nausea, vomiting, nosebleeds, skin rash, itching, facial swelling, and anaphylaxis. Fluticasone Propionate Nasal Spray has also been associated with growth suppression in children.
