Bengaluru Flood Chaos: 10 Dead as Heavy Rain Wreaks Havoc Across the City
A sudden spell of intense rainfall has brought life in Bengaluru to a standstill, leaving behind destruction and loss. At least 10 people have lost their lives as the city struggles to cope with the aftermath.
The most tragic incident occurred at Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital, where a wall collapsed during the downpour, killing 7 people—including a 6-year-old child.
Other casualties were reported due to electrocution and storm-related accidents across different parts of the city. Flooded roads, fallen trees, and power disruptions have severely impacted daily life, with traffic coming to a complete halt in several areas.
Authorities report dozens of uprooted trees and ongoing rescue and clearance operations. Meanwhile, the weather department has issued a warning for continued heavy rainfall over the next three days.
