I finished reading rwrb, my heart!!!! I loved the book so much. More political drama, fleshed out cast of characters, and better dialogue than the movie imo. I kind of wish that there was a sequel book in the works as well as another movie, but ig that's just my preference
ahhhh you finished reading so fast!!❣️The book has a special place in my heart and definitely has a lot going for it that a movie simply can't encompass with two hours of screen runtime. I get the changes that had to be made but book June and Rafael Luna and Pez and Nora really had sooo much going on for them that the movie couldn't quite measure up to with limited exposition. Also, I do feel like the dialogue and the way the emails and texts happened in the book felt very authentic in a way that spoken aloud seems different but every good romcom has cheesy lines so it is what it is😌at the very least, the author of the book is playing a big part in writing the sequel script so even though it's not like a sequel book, hopefully their touch will make it feel like a follow-up book🥰
also the one nice thing about rwrb fanfic is that so many ones that I've read really lean into blending what happens in the book with the movie so all the book characters get to be there but some of the movie details also get to shine.
