Idk if this is fluffy enough but
The first time Adam and Ronan spend the night in the same bed. Ronan already has trouble falling asleep, and Adam is the kind to be able to pass out wherever he is so long as his brain quiets down enough. Chronic backseat sleeper.
But Adam tells Ronan “I’m just gonna read for a little while before bed.”
And they get settled with Ronan’s head on Adam’s chest and Adam wraps his free arm around Ronan
And Ronan finds himself automatically fighting to stay awake, his brain and body ringing warning bells that he needs to move in case he brings back something: conditioning from living with Gansey.
But Adam can feel him starting to twitch a little every time he drifts off and then jerk awake every few seconds. So he starts to read out loud. And his voice is so soothing that Ronan finds himself relaxing more and more, finds that he’s starting to lose the thread of the story Adam’s reading.
And when Ronan wakes up in the morning, it’s…fine. No nightmares. He’s a little sweaty, but that’s just because he’s all tangled up with Adam, their heads on the same pillow.
And he takes a minute to just observe him, his face relaxed in sleep, and he can’t help but pull him closer. Adam starts to stir and Ronan presses a kiss just behind his hearing ear and tells him to go back to sleep.
