A Scarlet Grenadier in the sun, shot from a low angle to get a rim lit image. A negative exposure compensation of 2-2/3 stops was needed for this.

Spring Hunger

A Grey Squirrel (Sciurus carolinensis) chomping on and swallowing leaves by the lake in St James' Park. It was apparently hungry and probably still found food scarce in spring.
Would've preferred to take the shot lower but was hampered by the foreground foliage.
