You know what? The scene where Gohan calls Nappa "reek" is quiet different in the latin version. In that, Gohan said "YOU DON'T HAVE A MOM!" like some offensive thing, and Nappa replied with "Whaaaat! My mother was a beatiful lady! Don't talk about her, braaat!." It was hilarious af. Man, there's a lot of differences between latin dub and english dub.
What, really?? Ohhh man, I love any reference to saiyan ladies in canon for one, and like Nappa jumping at her defense is sweet.
There do seem to be a lot of differences between the dubs, but that’s one thing that I’ve always kind of liked about DBZ - or just dubbing in general. Things are changed, yeah, and sometimes for the worst and sometimes for the better, but it’s always a lot of fun to compare the dubs and see what approach they take, ya know? It’s especially fun for something like DBZ which is old and has a loooot of different dubs (I know there are a lot of English dubs, do other languages have multiple dubs as well?).
It’s just fun to see how different countries and languages interpret the original material
