The Orlando Salsa Congress is held every year on July 4 weekend. They offer shows, workshops, and pool parties! Throughout the long weekend, you can take classes in salsa, bachata, Afro-fusion, and so much more! I had a blast and learned a lot! All the instructors are very eager to share their talents and dance moves. At night, they open the dance floor and everybody can shake a leg till 4am. Yes, 4am!
You can buy single day passes or join in the entire weekend. They have tickets for however much or however little you want to do. That way you're not breaking the bank.
Tips:
Bring snacks and your water bottle.
Buy your coffee outside the hotel. The lines were long at Starbucks!
Wear comfortable clothes and shoes if you're taking classes. The rooms got very stuffy!
Make sure you have your phone/camera at hand to record the classes so you can practice at home
