I don't like drawing a lot of characters in one image but I'll make an exception this time. These books got me going stupid

I'm kind of obsessed with Florin's character arc. He's such a minor side character-especially in this book-(Spoilers beyond book 5 here) but he's a mercenary, so someone who decided killing people for money was just fine actually. And then enters the dugeon and falls in love with another crawler, which I think had to shift his world view at least a little, because he's not a crawler killer. But then Ifechi dies thanks partly to his own temper (Yes, absolutely part of the blame falls on Lucia Mar, but if he hadn't attacked her then Ifechi wouldn't have died. It was a tense scene, and Lucia Mar was both antagonistic and violent, but she's also a kid* stuck in a dungeon and trying to stay alive). He briefly looses hope, regains it when he realizes that there are people out there trying to help others. He decides to stop the crawlers killing crawlers, including and especially Lucia Mar, and then the drop hits about whats going on with her and he spends the next several floors protecting this person who was involved in the death of the woman he loved. And all of this is happening in the background. THAT'S A WHOLE ASS BOOK PLOT RIGHT THERE.
I do think this background arc, especially when contrasted with Maggie My or Quan Ch, is a huge point the books are trying to make. When life is hell, all that matters is how you treat other people.
More Dungeon Crawler Carl characters. This time it is Florin.
Just found out a little more about him in book 4 and I am excited to find out more.
Y'all are actually so fake.
I have no idea if there's any significant crossover between these fandoms, but
When I read Dungeon Crawler Carl, and Florin comes up- I can only imagine Gummigoo from The Amazing Digital Circus.
And I don't think I'm gonna make any effort to change it tbh, he's an Australian-sounding crocodillan and I think a cowboy hat would suit him.
I need to learm how to draw anthro characters only because i NEED to draw florin. Hes too awesome. He rotates in my brain constantly
I love him
Sometimes a family is a mentally ill man, his cat, their alien father figure from outer space, a one armed woman, a decapitated sex doll head, a group of compressed children, a dinosaur, two cretins that like to play arcade games, a one eyed kung fu master, a scary lady with chains, the scary lady's and kung fu boy's best friend, an aggressive fairy, a kind fairy, a sharpshooter with the head of a crocodile, an ex-alcoholic, a burn victim, a flying wheelchair user and Tony the tiger
Carl: Everytime I hear someone talking about updog, I’m torn between not wanting to fall for it and wanting to help them complete their joke.
Donut: Okay, but what is updog?
Elle: Updog is a long sausage in a bun, often served with ketchup, mustard, onions, and/or relish.
Imani: Not, that’s a hot dog. An updog is when a new version or patch of an application is released.
Brittney: No, that's an update. You’re thinking of the fourth largest city in Sweden.
Prepotente: Surely, that’s Uppsala, where’s updog is that guy from Lord of the Rings
Katia: That’s Aragorn. Updog is a symbol conventionally used for an arbitrarily small number in analysis proofs.
Daniel: You’re thinking of epsilon. Updog is an upward-moving air current.
Florin: No, that’s an updraft. An updog is the modern version of a henway.
Donut: What’s a henway??
Carl: Oh, about five pounds.
