hi.. if ur still taking reqs can I request maybe relationship hcs with florus, maybe before the war and also how we would react to his death? I recently read Aphrodite's gamble and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! ty darling and remember to stay hydrated :D
An: I am SO sorry it took me so long to do requests, school really burned me out from writing especially.
🌱- before the war hmmm
🌱- Since this guy lived in a cabin in the middle of the woods, you’d probably be from a village nearby.
🌱- He offers a lot of medicinal advice and herbs from the nearby village, so everyone probably knows about him by now.
🌱- but you in particular kept visiting him. You couldn’t stop getting injured. You were known around the village for not being the best person to rely on, considering a gust of wind can somehow knock you into a nearby pond.
🌱- Is it a bad thing if it gives you another reason to go to the hot medic near town? I don’t think sooo…
🌱- He really would be very worried for your well being. How have you survived this far without an expert on medicine?! It’s practically a miracle! He swears he sees you at least once a week, are you sure you haven’t broken anything? Let him double check, you can never be too careful.
🌱- pretty soon he started to develop a crush on you. I mean, it wouldn’t surprise anyone considering he’s alone most of the time and his most recent patients is just you.
🌱- Idk how you two started to date, but you do. Congratulations!
🌱- Florus is a pretty shy guy, he shows his affection by making food for you or gifting you nice flowers he picks along the way then putting it in your hair.
🌱- if you ever get a cold or a mild sickness, he prioritizes you over anyone else who might need his help. He tucks you smoothly into bed and insists you don’t get up because he has everything covered.
🌱- if you don’t like medicine due to its tangy tastes, he tries to mix it with other herbs or plants that will change the taste of it without heavy risks. But if there is risk included? He forces you to swallow it in one gulp, he really is sorry, but he can’t have you getting sick on his watch—he’d be a terrible lover!
🌱- he’ll sometimes overwork himself though, specifically when he spends a lot of time writing down every herb and their uses. So that if he ever disappears, the village can check the book for suggested remedies for certain illnesses. But he gets distracted very often, hunching down and writing for hours—sometimes getting anxious and second guessing himself if he’s actually write about two plants being able to mix together. But as long as you try to get him up and cuddle him a bit, he’ll go back to normal.
🌱- Everything was fine until you noticed the two men at your door talking to your husband early in the morning. Were they travelers? If so, what did they want from him? Maybe injured?
🌱- it wasn’t until an hour later, you see him going to pack his stuff. By now, you gotten very worried—he hasn’t said a word to you so far, he can’t even look at you without that familiar guilty face he makes whenever he knows you’ll be upset at whatever he’d done this time.
🌱- you dropped everything you were holding when he finally told you—back faced towards your face. War? Why? This isn’t his battle to fight, who cares who got kidnapped, he’s not obliged to care for these heartless soldiers.
🌱- you both went back and forth before you heard the men at the door knock again. That’s when Florus stopped responding to you and sighed as he looked down at the wooden floors. “I’m sorry, I have to do this…I promise I’ll be back for you. Besides, from what I hear I stay mainly in the camps…I swear I’ll be fine and I’ll return back to you eventually.” He said. Before exiting the cabin. Little did he know, that’s the last time you’ll see him ever again.
🥀- You’ll never forget that day—the day you found out your lover was no more—that he broke his promise.
🥀- you shouted curses at the man infront of your door, that this was all their fault, that if they hadn’t been so selfish—someone else wouldn’t have had to lose their love—their reason.
🥀- “shouting is futile, it’s not gonna bring him back so stop wasting your breath.” The burly man said, followed by a harsh slap to the side from the shorter man at his side. “We’re sorry, we’ll be out of your way. Farewell.” He said, glaring daggers at the taller man as they both walked off.
🥀- you didn’t know what to do anymore. With all the years he’d been gone, you’ve already attempted to master his medicinal knowledge, you hadn’t gotten this far because you wanted him to come back and teach you the rest. But now you know, that day will never come.
🥀- you approached his old desk, opening the medicinal book you’ve been studying from while he was gone. All he wanted was to finish it, but now that he can’t do that—it’s up to you to finish it for him, it’s what he would’ve wanted.
🥀- and that’s what you did, you spent the rest of your life learning about herbs and how to utilize them together. Even sharing your knowledge with your village so that someone will gain a liking for medicine too.
🥀- you logged in every new fact and plant into his old journal. Sometimes you’d flip back a couple pages just to admire his hand writing. He did always have such a pretty one.
