Name: Ariel Hugo Fernández García-Laurent
Ariel: Meaning ‘lion of God’
Hugo: Latinized from Hugh, meaning ‘heart, mind, spirit’, Claude’s middle name
Fernández: Meaning ‘son of Fernando’, the original name meaning ‘journey’ and ‘daring, brave’
García-Laurent: A married form of both surnames, García meaning ‘bear’ and Laurent meaning ‘from Laurentum’
General Appearance: Oddly enough, Ariel’s features and shape would be very similar to Claude’s, while his hair, skin and eye colour would match Antonio’s. He’d have dark messy hair, full of waves and little curls at the nape of his neck, a button nose that would definitely develop a hook as he ages, a wide smile. He’d have square, short hands and would always have dirt under his nails and on his knees from playing outside.
Personality: Ariel mightn’t be the smartest kid around, but he’d definitely the liveliest. He’d be the class clown, always wanting to make people laugh and smile. He would have no patience for bullies and would clap back anytime he caught someone being mean. He’d have a fondness for music and writing and could sit for hours listening to any given historical story either of his fathers have to tell him. He also really likes to help Claude in the garden.
Special Talents: He can talk really fast. Like really, really fast. He’d also have a really weird knack for remembering names and dates.
Who they like better: Both! Antonio and Claude are both the fun parent, Ariel would never be able to choose.
Who they take after more: Antoino. He would start to look a lot more like him as he got older, and he is a lot more outspoken like Toni with a great willing to see the best in people, but he’d be just as much a romantic as the both of them. He would have grown up watching that very gooey kind of soft love.
Personal Headcanon: When Antonio does get drunk in the evenings and pulls out his guitar, Ariel would sneak out of bed and listen to his Papá play from the hall. Of course, Claude would catch him and throw Ariel over his shoulder, and despite it being a school night, the three of them would stay up a little too late singing and dancing in the living room.
