(SPOILER ALERT FOR MADRE SOLO HAY DOS/DAUGHTER FROM ANOTHER MOTHER)

Madre solo hay dos makes me wanna write a 10k word essay about the subtle change of Ana and Mariana's relationship and how it culminates into that beautiful scene of Ana saying "Te amo" to Mariana, and how it's not sudden.

Honestly, I really think the writing of the show and their relationship is brilliant. As someone who grew up watch mexican telenovelas - saw Ludwika in at least three - I really loved this show because it has enough over the top situations that we look at and say "yep, that's a good telenovela" but at the same time we have discussions about sexism, infidelity, the different kinds of maternity and paternity, friendship etc.

Not to mention the fact that Mariana is, probably bisexual (she doesn't say, se just has a grilfriend at the beggining and that's it) and apart from her mother saying is just a phase and Pablo's friend trying to use it to make her lose Regina's full custody it is treated very naturally.

Even by Ana who, honestly, I may have expected would be judgemental or just outright homophobic, but never even batted an eye at it.

So yeah, when you take a careful look at it you see how well constructed it was, even the soundtrack helps it. I mean, "Flotando" by Francisca Valenzuela begins playing in the final moments of the first episode, which is when they decide to Live together, and the first line of song is literaly about not beliving in having found someone so good but what they have is real, the love they have is real.

And "Cobarde" by Ximena Sariñana at the end, come on, POETIC CINEMA!
