Although art is often interpreted by its viewer who is in search of meaning. The process in which I create is based on the practice of abandoning the use of mind in this way. Instead I encourage a fluid collaborative experience with the model, “to be present while in a joyful state of beautiful free flow.” This principle is what I call “Flow Dynamics” and have spent 25 years practicing it in my artwork to explore my creative potential and those who choose to collaborate with me in this way. The pier in Progreso, in the state of Yucatán in Mexico, was extended in 1985 from 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) to its current length of 6.5 kilometers (4 miles). Built over a wide and shallow continental shelf, the additional length was necessary to allow docking by large cruise ships. The light turquoise areas offshore are probably shallower than the darker areas. Prevailing winds here typically blow from the east-northeast, carrying sediment westward along the shore. The older segment of the pier (closest to the shoreline) was built atop arches that allow some sediment to pass through. The rest of the pier, however, is solid. The structure as a whole has likely decreased the amount of sediment transported alongshore, producing settlement and a seaward movement of the shoreline. From NASA
