ANSWERS TO FLOWERBATH

okay guys, I noticed some questions are repetitive so I thought I should make a post to cover some.

1. how could I have prevented that ending?

there were two votes that played a huge role! the first poll was whether tsukishima should negotiate with the user or not. the second one was who should have gone as a witness.

if hinata went —> tsukishima would have been caught

if kageyama/yamaguchi went —> all four had the chance to live freely (depending on votes)

since tsukishima went he got a “witness privilege” and therefore he was the least likely one to become a suspect. tsukishima’s poll what he should tell daichi (with whom he was at the summer festival) made at least yamaguchi a suspect because in part 1 there’s evidence of yamaguchi and tsukishima going together. besides, tanaka knew that all four were together at least at one moment! kageyama got turned in because he was too late to ask why he told tanaka about the match! this means if kageyama had asked tsukishima sooner there was the possibility of the boys finding out sooner who the user is since tsukishima would have felt more pressure because there was nothing to protect him unlike the “witness privilege”.

2. how should I have known that the user was tsukishima?

I tried to drop many hints! first, there was none other than the four who were at the scene of the accident. if there was someone else that someone would have definitely called the police/ambulance instead of blackmailing the others. (I think I covered this thought in one part (kageyama pointed that out)) second, the user’s name (click here to see what I mean). thirdly, tsukishima told tanaka about kageyama’s match although he acted like he didn’t know about it. fourth, he got a part named after him. fifth, he didn’t receive the “the flowers forgive you for what you did” message.

3. What was tanakas role?

to confirm who told kageyama about his match and that he saw all four of them leaving together at the summer festival.

4. what about daichi?

in part 12 daichi told sugawara that he feels guilty about not saving yachi sooner although he was close at the scene of the accident. this should have clarified that daichi is not the user. other than that he was helpful regarding hinata’s ending. if they had stopped talking, hinata would have become a suspect as well! (but that’s just a rough idea because the poll whether hinata should continue talking to daichi or not was at the beginning of the story)

5. what happened to hinata?

ha ha yeah... and even the user’s name was related to tsukishima’s name (tsuk(k)i means moon in japanese) and user27(d)7(h)43(mins)

but gotta admit this was actually hard to figure out

MY MIND IS PROGRESSING EVERYTHING AND SOMEHOW EVERYTHING MADE SENSE IN A WAY BUT OMG HOW COULD WE HAVE PRETENDED THE OUTCOME OF KAGS AND YAMS I FEEL SO BAD FOR THEM 😭😭😭😭

um... I’m not quite sure but I think you meant prevent and not pretended, anon? :,)

anyways... the really “big” decision was whom should have gone as a witness. I had four different scenarios for it.

if hinata went, the user would have been found way faster and because hinata was really unstable at that time the police wouldn’t have trusted hinata therefore if you guys would have picked hinata none of them had to go except for tsukishima

if either kageyama or yamaguchi went, not much would have happened. all four would have the chance to live freely.

and tsukishima’s vote gave him a “witness privilege” so no one would have guessed he is a suspect so all three had the possibility to go to jail ;; the poll what tsukishima should tell daichi (if he was alone at the summer festival) made yamaguchi a suspect because in part one there was clearly evidence that tsukishima did not go alone to the summer festival and if kageyama didn’t mention tanaka so late he’d be free, too

if kageyama would have asked tanaka sooner, the group would have known sooner as well which might have put more pressure on tsukishima + he hadn’t had anything to protect himself at that time

honestly I could go on but I think this covers the most important decisions a bit?

just wanted to THANK YOU for the sweet comments you left in the survey!!! they made me smile so much and I’m so glad you enjoyed it!! anyways someone left this comment under the survey and I wanted to answer to it:

1. you aren’t alone who thinks the ending was rushed! actually, I felt like it, too. however, I couldn’t think of any other ending. I didn’t know how I should have done it otherwise. There were no more polls to make because everything was already decided! I’m sorry if it was rushed but I hope you can understand why it came to that.

2. regarding the update: I often tried to post at 7pm CET and 2am CET so there was always 7h and 17h to vote. besides, I often waited to reach the usual amount of votes which was often 60+ so I thought the amount of time was alright!

3. ANYWAYS thank you reader for reading the story!! I’m glad you enjoyed it and I really hope that I can work on another one in the future :))

I can’t believe tsukki turned in yams, like tobio I understand due to their history but yamaguchi... I was shook, still am! but it was smart of him not to turn hinata in since he’d totally spill the truth if pressed for info

ohmygod I think there’s a misunderstanding-

yamaguchi already got interrogated. at first the police wanted to ask him a few questions but his answers seemed off and therefore he became a suspect rather than a witness, I think I mentioned it too subtle? anyways, yamaguchi is already seen as a suspect so... that kageyama is gone is totally tsukishima’s fault

i want the first years to be sent to jail and find out that yachi is alive and has been the one blackmailing them with kiyoko and then she'll visit them in jail and tell them men are trash 🤭

Please let anyone but Hinata go. If he goes I swear that boy will cave because I bet they'll assign Daichi since he was close with them and he already has been told Hinata is unstable and that he was blackmailed. Either Yamaguchi or Tuskishima because so far they've been the level headed ones. (I think?)
