BATTLE!!!! ! ! ! ! ! !
It's a field day in battling 2-- and you know what that means. Each student has been paired up for a singles match; a two-on-two. (Next week, they're supposed to move onto triple battles. Talk about exciting.) They're not graded on the victors, but are required to show strategy and-- you know what, the details don't really matter, do they?
Cracking his knuckles, the blond grounds his feet in the chalk square provided as trainer space and stares out at the battling field. The terrain is dirt and gravel, and the sienna stains the bottom of his loafers.
"All right, May, let's see what you've got--!" He grins at the brunette. This is the first time they've been paired up, and to say the least, Barry is interested to see the way she battles. Everyone knows May's a coordinator at heart-- vaguely, the sophomore wonders if that'll make this too easy (Barry likes to challenge himself, after all).
"Hurry up and choose your pokemon!"
