The Prinzessin seemed almost entranced through the song, and at it’s conclusion, couldn’t help but clap thrice in response. After a moment of silence she realized what she did, and coughed once as if to clear her throat, briefly averting her gaze from the Bard, and using her hand to cover her face.
“A-ahem! One finds this song most resplendent, and believes that... That such a loyal and joyous subject most assuredly deserves a reward for such a production!” She quickly distracted herself, before throwing a quick glance around - almost as if checking for people looking on, before crossing her arms over her chest and looking back to the Bard.
“I, Fischl, see fit to reward such a loyal subject with a meal fit of the Prinzessin! Yes, one will present you with the die heilige sinfonie!”
Hearing talk of a fresh cooked meal in exchange for a quickly improvised melody made Venti’s stomach sit up and beg. Perhaps he could get used to her manner of speaking after all. if she was willing to give something like this over a simple enough act.
“My my! Generous indeed. I’m honored to make your acquaintance, then. I humbly accept!! I’ve heard tell of your escapades, but... Wow! I’m impressed.”
Usually, his day-to-day diet consisted mostly of apples and wild cooking. While he was in no danger of starvation, he definitely liked the idea of a fresh cooked and homemade meal. He wasn’t so sure about the subject part, but Fischl had a good heart.
“I’d never be so rude as to refuse. After all, such a thing only lights the muse! If that’s your price, look no farther. Should you want more, it’s a standing offer! ... I take requests, you know.”
He grows a bit less lighthearted with that last line. Just enough to be taken seriously.
