Some people believe In conspiracy theories Out of sheer comfort. Because the idea Of randomly horrible Events are coordinated By unsavory forces Is more reassuring Than to acknowledge An inherently chaotic world No person could ever control

Spilled Coffee

I spilled coffee in between my keyboard keys

And i shut the laptop down

And scrubbed and scrubbed

For hours

But to no avail

I could not remove the stains

From the keyboard’s crevices

I could not restore

the keyboard’s function

Just like you poured your poison

In between my own parts

And i shut myself down

And scrubbed and scrubbed

And scrubbed and scrubbed

And scrubbed and scrubbed

And scrubbed and scrubbed

For hours

But no matter

I could never quite remove your stains

All i did was make a mess

Of my poor, crooked, dandy, little fingers

mourning the death of my dreams I stood a certain calmness in my soul

reminded by the words of the sun as she told me that all things have an end it is my choice to cherish the moments I experience with them

for days I pondered the meaning of such loss how could something so prominent in my life just disappear?

I think it was the wind that calm my veins the bitterness of its clutch it keeps you raw

I watched the grass in the wind he seemed relaxed and content

and I realised that we can be both our dreams and our reality

Precarious luxuries prompted offshoots Of urban obscenities strumming along To ornamental loneliness left out of spite Altering privileged banter’s after effects Wriggling its way outside tasteless tests Whose daily contests soar beyond verses Ruefully reacting to unrehearsed comments Shortening discombobulated acrobatics Whose news flashes shifted habitual dramatics By well-reviewed professionals on good standing Confining themselves to popularity’s lynchpin Triggering the hubris behind public pronouncements

Dawn's yearning arrest shadows In the face of continued journeys Following no accelerated traces Hindering speeds of imagined races

Carried to conquer a world with words alone Connections found in random towns Enamored tragedy among big shots Conversing over encumbered titles Given a name for filing combination Systems strummed series’ of stumbling Strident in tandem with vain misgivings Extrapolated straight flows timing Until convenience minus insider lies Compelling a reckless rebel troubled As the actor’s adolescence carried on Sleeveless motions calming down Grown columns’ disfigurement of doubt Traversing stumbled mumbles mounting To slouch as the steed gallops up the hill Climbed deriving livid lies by connivers Mortified with the desire to leave a life Crying in spite of not craving the tight spot Recited to well-meaning statements Thought out but not reliving consequences Seeking bare worded admonishments As barbarity sheered recollections on roads Never traveled while gambling held back sighs

Loathing comes loaded In a room too soon While humming tunes So lonesomely groomed. Left to the mirror looking For faceless traces wasted Resolve without the one To whom I thought I knew.

Black dogged fog fills the empty stage Set with a lone spotlight slowly adrift For an imagined gaze you try to ignore That self-consciousness tries to control While leaving shadows nobody noticed Jagged movements of a pacing neurotic Leaving behind a pleased the audience With pointed fingers and howls seeing Seen from a freak show's standing room As rhythmic footwork never mattered Entertaining such pointless honesty While a stage floor illuminates illusions Revealing all that was left of the remnants Where performers and freaks had no place Left to return that's drifting in the dead zone Devoid of passing lights in worn out wood With nostalgia's trapdoor left for the outcasts
