What's striking is, a black man in US was thrashed to death by a white policeman and now, their A-star celebrities, big brands, almost everyone whose voice matters and holds command is speaking against their president and system.
I can also see how a large section of Indians are speaking out as well. So nice. But, these voices, these same Indian voices, maintain silence when far heinous crimes have occurred in India. For instance, dalits were thrashed in public in Una, Muslims were lynched to deaths in full public glare at multiple places in India and some were even video graphed, Tabrez Ansari died because police did not took him to hospital, and then, in Delhi, India's capital, we saw police standing alongside a man while he announced into loudspeaker his open threats to Muslim community and peaceful protesters, we saw that image of gunman who shot at protesters while Delhi police stood behind him in relaxed poses as if they were watching some Disney movie and then we saw Delhi police directing the crowd that burned Delhi, we even saw some men in uniform throw stones... And we kept quite.
So, I don't think, Indians who are speaking and sharing their outrage at Floyd's death are genuine. They're just acting to appear cool on social media.
Dont get carried away. They don't have balls like citizens in US do. We Indians are feared lot, we Indians lack empathy, we Indians are cowards that don't know how to fight a fascist regime. In contrast, many in US do.
