see here’s the thing about floydra:

it is so inherently silly and ridiculous that you end up playing into it and making jokes about it. and then you hit a revelation point. and it circles right through into being really compelling because of the fact that theyre character foils. and then youre seriously making analysis about this ship that sounds silly and ridiculous to anyone that hasnt hit the revelation point yet
