#fluff tuesday

Welcome back to Tuesday! Today’s is…interesting since it’s not a rarepair. Surprisingly, today’s is Balloon x Nickel; commonly known as Nickloon (also one of mod’s favorite ships)

I was originally going to do some fanart of them too, but I got frustrated after Tumblr tried to hide a post on my main account, so I just gave up drawing it. Sorry gang.

Fun fact: they’re actually one of the first ships mod fell in love with when coming into the OSC (I joined when Well Rested from BFDIA came out on September 1st of 2023 and then watched Spring On the Breakfast before watching both shows, but I found out about it a little bit earlier when seeing an animation of Steve Cobs to the song The Fine Print by The Stupendium)

As for the ramble itself, Nickel and Balloon have already been shown as good friends after being enemies over the course of the seasons. However, what do they actually DO? I feel like after Suitcase winning season 2, Nickel became more clingy (clingier than he already was) to Balloon and now they kinda do everything together. Like, stuck together kind of together. Nickel has fallen asleep many times while listening to Balloon read him his poetry, but it’s only because he likes his voice so much! They definitely cook for one another despite BOTH of them sucking at it, but they’re sucking at it TOGETHER ❤️

Balloon has written many poems about Nickel but has claimed they’re about someone else, but Nickel knows they’re about him. In addition to Nickel’s clinginess, he’s also extremely jealous. Shocker I know. Whether it be mentions of Suitcase, or other coins, Nick is huffy about it. Nickel brings Balloon to concerts to make up for it though. He worked so hard making money from those scalped tickets, he has to treat Balloon sometimesss.

They’re also really cheesy and Balloon has DEFINITELYYYY convinced Nickel to wear matching colors. Balloon with his baggy sage hoodies and dark green sweaters, and Nickel with his salmon flannels and band shirts. They also probably half matching bracelets or jewelry of some kind courtesy of Balloon, as well as one matching piercing based on Nickel loving tattoos (he convinced Balloon eventually from his sad droopy eyes and loser personality /partial ref).

It’s another Tuesday here on the ii ship wheel, which means time for a fluff post!

Today’s I love love love their potential friendship; it’s Pepper and Taco!

I feel like they bonded over the women they fumbled (Salt for Pepper and Microphone and Suitcase for Taco), and now they’re here.

Pepper doesn’t really have a grudge against her like the others, so I could easily see their friendship (or relationship if you ship them) going well. Think like silly photo shoots made by Pepper and walks in the woods from Taco. I also feel that Pepper would go to the restaurant a lot just to rant or gossip with Taco, only for Tea Kettle to yell at Taco to get back on her shift.

Overall, they’re both pathetic lesbians that could solve a lot of their problems by kissing and holding hands.

It’s a Tuesday morning. In the grand scheme of things, it matters naught. But this Tuesday morning is anything from typical. This Tuesday, John wakes up warm and languid in a bed not his own. Oh, it’s still in his new-old home, but it’s not his bed. Well not yet, he supposes. He stretches. propping himself up on his good arm, and does his best not to rouse the most beautiful man in the world. Looking at Sherlock, his mouth slightly open, softly snoring, hair tousled, love bites peppered down his neck and across his shoulders, John thinks, yes most beautiful man in the world is an apt title for Sherlock. He can’t quite bring himself to leave the bed yet, as the sunlight plays across the sheets and Sherlock’s half-bared form, dappled by clouds moving through the atmosphere. It’s a lovely sight and one that John knows he will have a chance to revere again and again in the coming months, no years. But he will never have this first time again. He drinks it all in, savoring it; this heady cup of visual wine. He resists the urge to kiss those dark curls, knowing that both he and Sherlock are absolute beasts until they’ve had their morning cup of tea. He eases out of bed, finds his t-shirt and boxers, pulling them on as he pads quietly to the kitchen, only to find the kettle and cups ready to go when they’re ready, a plate of Mrs. Hudson’s best scones, and a note reading “Congrats to my boys, now go back to bed. You only get this once.” He smiles and peels out of the clothes. As he eases back to bed, Sherlock rolls over and traps him under one of his long, sleek arms, snuggles (my God Sherlock Holmes is a snuggler!) and drifts back to sleep. John traces slow, drifting circles along his back, finally submitting to the urge to kiss the curls, and falls back asleep smiling.
