The Phoenix Saga: Reignited Edition update
Hey, friends and Firebirds! I wanted to drop a line to discuss the current status of The Phoenix Saga: Reignited Edition, my ambitious attempt to remaster the entire Saga. As you may have noticed, Reignited hasn't been updated in a hot minute.
I am NOT giving up on the Reignited project. FAR from it.
I've been fighting some pretty bad burnout, between a hectic time at both of my jobs, a lot of stuff going on in my life, and juggling both the Reignited project and expanding the leading edge of the Saga.
The reality is, something had to give for a bit to relieve some pressure, and I picked Reignited. I kept telling myself, "today's the day I'm going to swing back over and update Reignited" and it just hasn't happened. So, I wanted to transparently tell you all the plan, so nobody thinks I abandoned things.
Currently, I'm currently down to the final eighteen chapters of the behemoth Book XIII, which is the finale of Phoenix Odyssey, the third of four planned series in the full Saga. My intent is to finish Book XIII, at the best possible pace I can manage. I am then going to take a break for a few weeks, to rest, recharge, and celebrate the completion of Odyssey. I might even have a little something special up my sleeve to commemorate the end of the series. After that, I'll announce the title and synopsis for the fourth and final series in the Phoenix Saga, and begin planning it in detail while I resume work on Reignited.
My intent is to complete the Reignition of books III and IV - finishing the Reignited version of Phoenix Ignited - before starting to write Book XIV. After that, I'll alternate: two books of Reignited, one book of Series 4. Once I get to Reignited Book V and beyond, the project will go much quicker, as less needs to be done to get Ascendant and Odyssey "up to spec" than Ignited needed.
So, to recap, the schedule looks like this:
Wrap up Phoenix Odyssey Book XIII
Rest for a few weeks
Reignited Book III
Reignited Book IV
Unannounced Series 4 Book XIV
Reignited Book V
Reignited Book VI
Unannounced Series 4 Book XV
... and so on.
I'm currently starting to upload Reignited to two new platforms as well: Fluff4.me and Fic.Fan. I intend to have both platforms caught up with Reignited (currently at chapter 3.02) before Reigniting chapter 3.03, so that when 3.03 and beyond are ready, the chapters can post to all fifteen platforms simultaneously!
