WIP Wednesday - Pining fluff

as requested by @fulcrum843 and @somethingsteff here is the start of a future installment of FluffFest (formerly known as Flufftober) with the Pining for Life family

Anakin pulls out a small tin, his brow furrowed. “What’s wrong”, Obi-Wan asks, unable to see the object that has caused the dramatic change in mood. 

Anakin holds up the homemade candle nestled in his palm, his eyes sad. “When did you stop doing this?” 

“Oh, love,” Obi-Wan breathes, but it doesn’t stop Anakin’s spiral. 

”How did I not even notice that you’d stopped?

“Probably because we were practically drowning in candles. For years,” Obi-Wan smiles and stops the start of a heartfelt protest with the press of his lips. “Love, it’s alright.”

“But you loved candle ma-” Anakin stops short as he catches the look his husband is too slow to hide behind the hand he passes over his mouth innocently. “What!” he exclaims as he pulls the hand down, still holding it where it comes to rest in his lap. “You mean to tell me you didn’t like candle making?”

“No,” Obi-Wan barely manages to suppress a laugh from bubbling out, but only just so. 

“What? I don’t even –I’m sorry, what?” 

Obi-Wan finally loses his battle, laughing at the sight of his husband's utterly confused expression. “No, I didn’t care for candle making. I stopped as soon as we ran out of supplies.”

“But then why -”

“Well it started because of Ahsoka, if you remember,” Obi-Wan reminds him, his eyes lined with amusement.
