While I'm on the topic of posting my sketchbook, I did a whole page for infected Ccino. I might give him a reference sheet once I'm done with the main cast (since I also want to do Fell as a bonus). In the meantime: lore.
Ccino was infected after getting bitten by his cat. Muffin drank the parasite-infected water outside the cafe while hunting. Symptoms in animals show up differently than symptoms in humans and monsters. Ccino didn't get Core Frisk's warning PSA until days later, but he was already very sick.
Since he was bitten by an animal, Ccino mutated. Stage 5 infected usually get tendrils once their bodies can't handle the negativity anymore. However, Ccino got one tendril and a lump on his head to mimic a cat's ear and tail. He also developed an appetite for rodents, along with positivity like the rest of the zombies, and behaves more animalistic.
Muffin ended up fusing with his other cats, Biscuit and Croissant. I call them Breakfast Platter as one unit. Ccino's memory is fogged from the infection, so he never leaves his coffee shop since that's all he can remember, which is very convenient for Dream . . . free lattes.
