Really fluffy ballroom dance with Hibari? (Thankkk you forrrr everythin admins💖💖💖💖💖)
((I’ve never ballroom danced before, even less tried to actually dance outside my room. I have absolutely no rhythm of any kind, and I will admit I looked at the internet for help. I hope you enjoy it nonetheless. - admin nana))
The lights shimmered dimly in the dark, tiny flickering embers that cast long shadows in the room.
They reached and grazed across your skin as you spun, feet expertly twisting you round the smooth checkered floor.
Without much preamble, you lifted off the floor with one leg before landing on two, almost seeming as if you were trying to take flight, reaching higher and higher when the light shimmered, shadows whispering lovingly to stay on the ground, but refusing to do so. You didn't wish to stay on the ground, you didn't wish to be tied to it, throwing your body with one big jump, from foot to foot, legs continuously brushing the air, urging them to take you a flight.
A warm hand grasped your outstretched one, tiny fingers curling around his own as he brought you in close, pirouetting you from your single point and straight against him. Engulfed into his scent, his body and warmth until all you felt was him filling your senses.
His movements were gentle, fluid as he guided you. It was something you hadn't expected from him, with calloused hands and skin scarred from battles. Yet he looked at you gently, with eyes glowing in the dark with bursts of purple (coming and going when the light blazed in his eyes).
Hibari Kyoya didn't seem the kind to want to dance even the tiniest bit, too restless and too agitated by close bodies. Yet he danced with you now, in the dimly lit room, with no one but each other to move freely, to hear the clacking of shoes and the sharp hitch of breathing between you two. It was almost romantic, even in the silence, it felt like something almost magical, too precious to make a word and ruin it with humanly constructs.
Instead, you glided with him, limbs moving together in a quiet rhythm.
Just the two of you and no one else...
His hand raised your arm and the other twisted around your back, your limbs moving to find balance in his sudden throw of the dance into something else. You blinked, finding your worldview topsy-turvy and stilled, one arm trapped in his hold while the other was spread out, trying to catch yourself before hitting the ground. But he did not let that happen, his hold strong even as his body was pressed up intimately with yours, feeling his hot breath slowly moving from the exposed skin of your neck further down towards the collarbone and then –
You were being twirled back onto your feet, away from his grasp. You took it, spinning until you stopped at a point, arms turned inwards and legs crossed at an angle towards him.
"I didn't know you could do that," You whispered, staring at him curiously. Kyoya simply gave a non-commentary shrug, unperturbed that he had danced in a way so much better than previous dance partners you had worked with. It was obvious he didn't partake in it much though, from the way he shook himself out, lips thinned and eyes turned at an angle away from you.
Your eyes narrowed at him, "Why don't you ever do that when we're in an actual crowd."
Kyoya gave a long drawn out hum, looking thoughtful, before he suddenly turned to look back at you. "Stifling," He said in way of explanation. "It gets too stuffy in the ballroom parties... plus it amuses me when the little omnivore is forced to learn to dance from me."
"… You step on him, on purpose."
He tried for an innocent look. It didn't work that well on him.
