Niki and James meet as strangers at an amusement park - like the Spanish City at Whitley Bay. Basically a 'Tunnel of Love' by Dire Straits!AU ^_^
The boy hands him his candyfloss with a grin and a wink “I've never seen you before in this town.”
“I just moved here.” Niki answers, pocketing his change. “Thank you.”
“You're welcome. What's your name?”
“Why do you want to know?”
“Just do.” He shrugs. “You're cute.”
Niki blushes. “No I'm not.”
The boy laughs. “Have you seen yourself? You're adorable.”
“Stop it.”
“Stop it.” The boy mimics, sticking out his front teeth. “I'm James.”
“Cool.” Niki takes a mouthful of his candyfloss and watches as James climbs over the counter and jumps down in front of him
“Are you going out with anyone?” He asks, crossing his arms and Niki wonders how tall the other boy is
“No.”
“Would you like to?” James asks with a smirk and Niki rolls his eyes
“Not you.”
“Pity. Come on, let's go for a walk.”
“Don't you need to watch the stall?”
James shrugs, “It's fine. Hesketh won't mind if I leave it for a bit to flirt with a boy.”
“Who says we're going to flirt?”
“Me.” James says cheerfully. “Come on then, my Ratty friend. Let's explore!”
They end up making out in the Haunted House ride, candyfloss smeared across both their cheeks, half on top of each other.
