@flwrshops!
tessa was happy. perfectly happy in how the last few weeks had been going. she and finn had the time of their lives on their mini getaway. most mornings spent in bed. days on the beach and nights wandering the streets of greece. and when that came to and end, things still were prefect when they came back home. even if they didn’t see each other every day, he checked in on her, was attentive. he was great with lila when there were days or nights she couldn’t get a babysitter to help. he never complained about it, played with her like he’d known the little girl her whole life and it warmed tessa’s heart more than she would ever let him know.
he’d taught her the basics on how to defend herself, she shot a gun for the first time and learned a few things there as well. even her co-workers mentioned she looked like her old self. happier, brighter.
tonight they were meant to go out to eat. she had a shorter shift at the bar specifically so he could pick her up and they could go out for the night before spending the weekend in, lila being with her dad and all. but tessa wouldn’t make it to work that day. she made it as far as locking her apartment door before there was a hand over her mouth. not just a hand, a cloth and a strong chemical smell. tessa did her best to try and fight, try and do any of the things finn had taught her about defending herself, landing maybe one hit into her attackers abdomen before her head felt woozy, eyesight blurring more and more each second until finally the world went dark.
