Ray had been waiting to cross the street, trying to make his way home after work when some young teen took a nasty spill off his bicycle after a car had stopped a little too late at the lights and clipped the kid’s back wheel. And of course, Ray couldn’t just leave the kid, or the panicking driver there. They were doing a shit job of trying to help, while constantly apologising and worrying they were going to get in trouble. All they were achieving was making the kid with the likely broken arm panic more.
Ray had ended up going over and having a quick word with the driver after tapping their arm to get their attention. Now they were calmly talking on the phone, having called for medical help. Ray was crouched by the kid on the ground, both making sure no one tried to interfere, and to keep the kid distracted and - surprisingly calm while they waited for proper help to arrive.
