I just spent the past 40 minutes chasing a fly around, with a sword because that's what i had on hand, and wearing my helmet because the fly likes to get concerningly close to my ears. i now understand how Morgoth felt at the Bragollach.
#silm adjacent#morgoth#fingolfin#or rather#flygolfin#unfortunately flygolfin is still at large#i've hit the fly at least four times so far (three w sword and one w shield (repurposed martial arts kick pad))#but only one of those was a solid hit#meanwhile it's flown over my shoulder at least six times#every time i think it's gone and sit down. flygolfin reappears right next to my ear
