It wasn’t often, but there were cases that were handed down to them that might have been better to give to the local authorities. This one, in particular, was in regards of a series of missing people. Apparently, they hadn’t found it out on their own and the case had ended up on her lap after one of their own has been caught up in it.
In a way, it grabbed her attention more than one of these cases normally would due to the idea a dragon tamer from their city had been reported to be missing. In a world where travels were frequent and people come and go frequently, it was something she’d considered alarming. She was lucky, in a way, that the gym was going slowly and that the gym season’s yet to start. It gave her some free time to search on her own more solidly.
It was why she’d ended up at the edges of Violet City, searching the woods that made up the routes surrounding the city.
Her Dragonite was following along with her, searching the other direction. There weren’t that many people along the roue, just a handful of battle happy bird keepers and fisherman. She’d turned down a few of them, but it was only easier to do so after she’d (accidentally) annihilated one of them in plain view. No doubt, she would be hearing about that later, but they were getting in her way and---
A familiar black cloth took her attention, she knelt down close to it, picking it up. She flipped it back and forth, the familiar black cloth was emblazoned with one of the most hated symbols in the region: R. Clicking her tongue, the cloth was wrinkled in her curled fist.
Of course, they must be involved.
The air about her grew increasingly tense as she heard the rustling behind her, one that did not belong to a pokemon. Her stance changed, whirling around to greet them, placing one foot forward and her arms at ready. Whatever was to face her, she was prepared to attack.
---And instantly return to a semi-calmed stance when she saw who it was.
“Falkner.”
