I'm a goblin so all symbols of honesty meme to Lance?
Honesty meme! Send me a symbol for my muse to come clean about:
♥ - Something they like about your muse.
“Flattery doesn’t suit you---at least prompting it in this manner, but if I must...” Although she says that, there’s a smile to her tone, so it doesn’t seem as though she minds. “I do like the choices you have in capes. There’s extremely high quality. Perfect for all sorts of situations.”
❦ - Something they hate about your muse.
Her eyes flash with a hint of annoyance then. “And, by all situations, I do mean those dangerous ones you so happen to get yourself into. I understand you do have backup, but never leave them behind. If anything, I wouldn’t want you to get hurt.”
✎ - A reason they’re jealous of your muse.
She lets out a sigh then, shaking her head. “I used to be jealous of your freedom away from the clan. But that was then, and this is now.”
♪ - A secret they’re keeping from your muse
Pressing her lips together, she shakes her head. There are several things she’s keeping a secret, and she wouldn’t doubt that he would do the same. Even between them, it was fine, wasn’t it?
“I suppose my jealousy was a secret, even if I’m sure you could have seen through me.” .
♤ - What they thought about your muse when first meeting.
“Hm, what did I think of you when we first met?”
She was a dumb kid then. In all honesty, she probably didn’t even realize they were related until after their conversation. The way that Mamaru had kept her isolated as a child kept her fairly ignorant to the general politics surrounding the clan. She’d only heard stories about Lance from him until she’d been able to be around others.
(Something she learned later was to make sure she didn’t ‘corrupt’ others of the clan somehow.)
It was a scene that wasn’t too difficult to recall. Even while he was left alone, there were plenty around watching him sit at the end of the lake, feet swinging over the water’s edge --- even other children watching at a distance --- gasping as she approached him. She didn’t care for it all at the time; she didn’t hear all of that at the time.
The dirty, bandage-covered surviving member of the branch family took a seat next to Lance, bumping his shoulders with her own, laughing a little when it startled him so much he’d nearly fallen into the water.
“You seemed lonely with a burden heavier than the thousand capes on your shoulders.” She glanced away then with a sigh. “I guess things haven’t changed since then, hm?”
