ur so right.......sonic and knuckles......butt heads a lot but go way back and care immensely about each other.........knuckles and rouge....... a jewel guardian and a thief fated to meet time and time again........ rouge and shadow....... goth jock bffs with nothing else in common but get each other so well....... shadow and sonic....... rivals who parallel each other in every way but their outlook on life....... sonic and rouge........ opposites on the moral alignment yet so compatible in personality.......... knuckles and shadow...... literally the same person but too stubborn to see it.......

   With his back turned to the huntress, he’s got his hands digging through the clothes rack of the shopping isle they stood in with animated vigor. Confliction written all over his face as he spun around, holding up two different jackets. One a teal windbreaker with pastel pink, purple, and white accents, the other a maroon leather jacket grey hoodie combo with the hooded part being particularly thick in material.

   He trusted Rouge’s expertise on the matter far more than his own, surely she could help him decide on this one?

   ❝I feel like I already got plenty’a red things t’ wear, but it looks so comfy... but the windbreaker is cool as heck!! I can’t pick,,❞

     Things were... Different since their ‘reunion’ of sorts. What would’ve otherwise taken hours of convincing, Knuckles was quick to accept her request of a guide. Part of him knew she didn’t need one, given her assets, and her skills, she would’ve easily been able to navigate— But it never hurts to have someone there with you. Besides, it gave him a chance to see her again. She just didn’t need to know about that.

       While he doesn’t enjoy digging too deep here, he still respects it’s past, regardless. As many times as he’s been here, he still finds himself caught up in the architecture.. That is, until her question pulls him back. He doesn’t respond at first, as truthfully, he doesn’t have the answer, it’s a question he’s never bothered to ask himself, mainly because it’s easier that way.

      What the..?? Of course he’d have no way to react as a giant chao was shoved in his face. One second he’s resting his eyes, then the next they’re filled with fluff. It wasn’t until Rouge’s head peeked out from behind the plush that he understood what was happening... He got up from his lounging spot, getting that shocked expression off his face. Where his expression goes next, might be a surprise..
