4 miles @ 11:13/min = 44:58 Average Heart Rate = 113 ❤️ I think my heart was literally frozen too😂 it was 12 degrees out when I ran with a windchill of 5❄️ . . I haven’t always been fond of winter running. Before I started practicing mindfulness, I would resist training in the cold. I would complain and fight it. If I ran outside in during the winter months, I would think about how cold I was and how much I enjoyed summer running better. 🤦🏼♀️ Then, I got serious about my yoga and mindfulness practice. I stopped resisting. I started approaching my winter running with a grateful heart. Noticing the color of the sky, the empty branches, the smell of wood fires burning, the crisp air on my skin, and the coolness of the air moving in my nose on my inhale and the warmth of the air on the exhale. Would you believe, something shifted inside me? I now look forward to the cooler temps and the winter runs. I enjoy all the invigorating sights, smells, and sensations I experience in the cold weather. ☃️ . Next time you find yourself resisting your winter run...approach it with a grateful, observant, nonjudgmental heart and you too may notice a shift💙 #Zensah #zensahambassador #nuun #nuunlife #fueledbynuun #oiselle #oisellevoilee #ohiovolée #maffetonemethod #heartratetraining #mindfulmovement #movingmeditation #runningmeditation #womensrunningcommunity #runneraofinstagram #flyingpigmarathontraining2018 #garmin235 #nursingstudent #hokas
