jatp is a show with a pretty messed up premise in some ways but they really try to kind of avoid all the darkness that comes with that and have a fun show.

That being said major respect to Flynn for being the most reasonable character when it comes to living-ghost romance and trying so hard to watch out for Julie. She's always like I'm so happy you're into this boy and I love seeing and hearing about it but also you can't date him because HE IS DEAD. THERE IS NO FUTURE HERE. ONLY PAIN. Because like. As far as everyone in the show knows that's completely true.
