It was a weird thing--wanting to share something but not being ready to share it with the people closest to you. Not that she thought Quinn or Miles or Mia wouldn’t be happy for her. Just that it wasn’t ready yet. She wanted to be really sure she could impress them. The problem was, Kayleigh couldn’t be sure it was working--or, rather, not working--the way she wanted it to, unless she had someone to show.
Flynn was someone she knew and liked, but they weren’t best friends. Plus, he was so nice and sweet, it pretty much made him the perfect person. After all, she wanted constructive feedback, but not as much as she wanted someone to tell her she was doing a good job. So she sought him out, finding him in the training facility, perfectly, of course. “Hey, uh, hi there,” she began, not exactly sure what to say to him. “Are you busy now?”
