I can't believe I found something related to The Whirling Ways of Stars That Pass for sale! @emmmeralddd's art is so beautiful! ✨
This isn't the tarot set itself but a book containing the card illustrations and their meanings 😊 There's also this tote bag, which I think was a gift when you bought the tarot items.
My Birthday present to myself arrived today, and I am so freaking happy. 😁😁
A bit of a transmutation mishap from our shipping team. Hopefully they can get back in their regular bodies before the postal worker arrives to pick up the packages
Hi! That fma tarot deck looks amazing. If you don't mind me asking, do you have the book too or just the deck, because I want to buy it but I'm not sure if it's worth it buying both? (Also, while I'm at it, I love your art, it's so good and funny)
Hi there! Yes I have both the deck and the art book - to give you an idea of my preference I actually ordered extra art books cause I love em so much haha
It’s really personal preference though - the deck is amazing and beautiful and all that good stuff, and the art book is Also fantastic just at a larger scale and without the tarot borders. I’d say it’s worth it if you enjoy art books and being able to see things at larger scale, and if you like rubbing your hands over two different kinds of art at the same time as god intended
You can see some of the scale difference here:
The cards tend to look sharper just because the images are compressed, whereas the art book lets you see it on the canvas size scale which means some details are easier to make out- can’t really go wrong either way but if you’re forced to pick I’d say the cards just cause the foil and the box are both Deeply pretty haha
I’m sure you’ll enjoy them either way, and glad you enjoy the art! :)
My contribution to @catstealers-zines @fmatarot project! I was assigned The Chariot with Greedling as the prompt- upright the card represents willpower, control, and the relentless pursuit of goals, while reversed the card represents struggling to face challenges, a lack of control and direction, and being overly aggressive.
I had a lot of fun cramming symbolism into this and also trying to make a card that would still look cool when it was reversed. Given this card focuses on pursuing goals I wanted to include both of Greed’s - his more obvious desire to “rule the world” plus the subconscious one to actually make friends, represented as ling and co. behind him (like in the back of his mind get it). Plus when the card’s reversed they’re “beneath” him which is fun~
If you like this card consider backing the kickstarter! It’ll be live until the 31st so make sure you take the chance to get a deck before then!
The @fmatarot crew gave us a thumbs up to post our full Tarot Card images, so here’s mine, finally (but without the tarot frame)! The Kickstarter is fully financed and the first stretch goal isn’t too far away, so if you’re interested, check it out! If the first stretch goal is reached the cards will be extra shiny. <3
Preview of an Ishval themed postcard set I did for @fmatarot, a Fullmetal Alchemist themed tarot deck 🔥🔥 The mini prints are 4x6″ and featured in the merch bundles for the deck and artbook.
The project is open for pre-orders on kickstarter until the end of the year, please check it out!
