jihoon was not the type to stress, at least he wasn’t like this before their debut. before the spotlights were on them and the criticisms came raining down on them. there was that extra pressure to make good music, he was left to work on their songs, which was probably one of the little freedoms charm got to see. it got to jihoon. sure, their debut wasn’t bad per say, but it could be better. it could always be better.
unfortunately, it was indeed getting suffocating for the singer, their comeback date was set and he was insecure of what he worked on for their first ever comeback was good enough. so stress shows its ugly face.
it wasn’t anything over the top really, it was just jihoon thinking he was locked inside one of the recording booths in bc’s building, tears running down his face as he stared at the ceiling. there were the occasional sniffles and hiccups, but really he was the quiet crying type, at least from what he can remember. “it’s just stress, it will pass.“ he says to himself, ignoring how rough and strained his voice is. it follows with a loud sigh.
unfortunately, the door behind him opens, proving jihoon very well that he hadn’t locked the door and most likely, the turned on light made someone curious. he doesn’t spin the chair fully, but purses his lips and rubs his eyes with his sleeve. he knows he doesn’t look presentable, but still pokes his head over the chair. eyes landing straight onto daisuke.

"I’m not the best person to be answering this. I’m not a rapper to be judging other rappers and I’m not even in the top two singers or dancers in my group. But, if I have to say, for male vocalist... Hyunsoo? He has the type of voice I like. Rapper? I might be biased since we’re friends and we’ve worked together, but I like Jaewon’s solo work as a rapper. Dancer? Yul is good. For women, Yoojin is a good rapper and for dancer, I guess Kiana? There’s a lot of female vocalists who debuted after me I’m impressed by, though. To name a few: Eunah, Suji, Minjung, and Inyeong.”
👀 how would someone have to go about wooing you?
“By not trying to woo me? I like romantic gestures, but if someone really wanted me to be into them for some reason, that would depend on things that can’t really be controlled like their personality, talent, and passion. Not sure I’m worth wooing anyway. Put too much work in and you’ll just be disappointed.”
👀 what are some insecurities you have regarding your talents?
“I don’t have a lot of insecurities about my talents. I’m never going to be the number one dancer or singer in the industry and that’s fine. It used to bother me that I wasn’t deemed good enough for a main dancer position, but I don’t really care about that anymore. And vocally, I’m more interested in being able to portray the stories I want to tell with my own music more than being the best technically. Maybe I’m a little insecure about my inability to depersonalize in my songwriting, and if what I write is really that good or if people are more interested in using my music to speculate about me. And if I’d be able to be as successful if I was less of an idol, you know. Less of a built-up fantasy.”
being around daisuke was the closest thing to home that akira could ever experience. not only was the younger idol japanese, but the two of them shared blood - akira’s father and daisuke’s being brothers. it was something that no one would have really figured, especially because they looked nothing alike, but that was only due to the fact that akira favored her mother instead of her father, daisuke’s uncle. she could remember seeing him at family gatherings and a few times a month due to their fathers wanting to spend time together. she watched him grow from a gangly, little kid to a tall, grown man and she couldn’t help but look upon him with fondness in her heart. her little cousin.

LOVE & LIVE:
For the beginning of the month, the members of the song (@fmdyoohyeon, @fmdhaseo, @fmdsiyeon, @fmdxsuwei) will continue to have sparse rehearsals together up until the release of their song on May 11.
On May 12, the members will attend The Show for their first special promotional stage. The four members will all go to the salon together early in the day before arriving at the SBS studio. They will be granted a waiting room of their own up until they pre-record their stage a few hours before broadcast time. They will not stay around for the live broadcast of the show (unless they have other schedule reasons to do so).
The members will repeat this schedule for all music shows on the 13-18 as well.
During their promotions, each idol will also be guided to take a number of selfies that will be chosen from by staff as photo cards for the physical mini-album for the COLLA3ORATE project.
During their promotion period, the four idols will be informed that they have one more song to record — a special bonus track that will only be available on the physical version of the mini-album all of the singles will be released on. All that is required of them is to record their assigned parts, as there will be no promotions or other activities for these “secret” b-side tracks. The idols will be given the demo beforehand and will be scheduled to record one day out of May 20, May 25, or May 31 depending on schedules (the day is up to the mun as long as the muse is in Seoul on the chosen date!). The music video shoot will be a two day shoot over May 13 and May 14, before the members fly out back to South Korea late May 14/early May 15 for a late May 15 arrival in Seoul.
On May 21, the members will attend MCountdown for their first special promotional stage. The members will all go to the salon together early in the day before arriving at the Mnet/CJ E&M studio. They will be granted a waiting room of their own up until they pre-record their stage a few hours before broadcast time. DRIP:
On May 3, all idols (@fmdhyejun, @fmdchaesoo, @fmdjynx, @fmdxlux, @fmdxyoungjoo) chosen will be scheduled to be picked up in a Dimensions Entertainment van from their dorm or private residence to be driven to the Dimensions Entertainment building. Once there, they will begin to learn the choreography for the song they recorded last month. They will learn from one of Dimensions Entertainment’s dance instructors and one of the choreographers (@fmdjoohwan) will be present for roughly a half an hour to give pointers on the parts of the dance they helped with. The five idols will meet a few times throughout the month to practice together under the same circumstances of being chauffeured to the Dimensions Entertainment building together, but are expected to also practice on their personal time.
On the same day, they will be introduced to a woman named Jo Jiwon who will serve as their project group manager for this month and the next as they approach promotions. She will be with them for all schedules from this point onward unless specified otherwise.
On May 16, the project group members will be escorted to a shop in Gangnam where they will undergo fittings for the outfits they will wear in the music video and during stage performances of the song.
On May 21, the members will arrive at an indoor set to film the music video for the song.
Before they attend fittings mid-month, the idols will be informed that they have one more song to record — a special bonus track that will only be available on the physical version of the mini-album all of the singles will be released on. All that is required of them is to record their assigned parts, as there will be no promotions or other activities for these “secret” b-side tracks. On May 10, they will arrive separately at the Gold Star Media building to record the track. As the song will be released with Gold Star Media’s resources, most of the preparations for the song will occur at the building. This is their first time working together and the recording session will be filmed, so before they go into the studio, they will get some time to get introduced to each other. Following this short time to mingle, they will be introduced to one of the lyricists, composers, and producers of the song (@fmdjoosung) who will take some time to explain the overall concept of the song. He will then be joined by another producer and a recording engineer to help guide the recording process. The members will then go into the recording booth in the following order: main or lead vocal (chaewon), vocal (naeun), vocal (chaekyung), vocal (jinsol), vocal (rachel), and rapper (yena). All vocalists will record all vocal parts, but the producers present will focus in on parts for each idol that they determine matches their voice well to record more takes of (these parts will reflect the line distribution). The project group members will be treated to dinner by a manager all together following the wrap on recording.
On May 25, the idols will once again return to the Gold Star Media building for a concept meeting. During the concept meeting, they will be given an overview for the anticipated wardrobe and the MV storyboard in addition to more details on the overall concept of the release.

jaehyun lets out a heavy sigh and leans against the clothing rack full of stage costumes. he was in a bit of a mood and the thumping bass of the music doesn’t seem to be helping as much as he wishes it would. thoughts heavy the night before means he had a heard time sleeping last night and he was feeling it. he feels the anxiety welling up in his stomach like a pit and the tension that comes along with it, tight in his shoulders.
it’s not rare for him to be in this kind of mood, but it is rare right before a performance. usually the idea of performing is both terrifying and exhilarating in the same breath, but the music soothes him, helps him quell the jumbled feelings for a moment. but it seems like he just can’t catch his breath. and it seems that his mood isn’t only affecting him, it’s also affecting everyone else around him. in an effort to help lighten the mood, jaehyun had tried to follow along with the choreography of the groups before him but it had only gotten him in trouble with the stylists for messing his hair up. that had been twenty minutes ago and jaehyun has been wandering around since then.
sighing, he pockets his phone and settles for watching fuse on the stage, the sounds of umpah umpah filtering through the speakers and it helps him get out of his head long enough to notice he’s not the only one standing there. it takes him a moment to place the face but eventually he recognizes him as charm’s dai. jaehyun takes in his stage outfit and leans over, intent on introducing himself and asking where daisuke got his coat when he notices the look on the others face. the emotionless to his gaze causes jaehyun to stop in his track and to look back over at the stage, at the pink energy and hype that the group is bringing and it causes a feeling of irritation to well up in his chest. “do you not like the group or is it just that you don’t like music?” it’s definitely not the best start to a first conversation that jaehyun’s ever attempted but he seems to can’t help the words that come spilling out of him.
most of the free time that they were getting on the trip, duri was either spending at the pool or the beach. he was truly happy, in his element in a way. he really does love the water, he was much like a little kid who was rather excited about it. what else made him a little kid was the fact that he really wanted to make a sandcastle currently. it probably wasn’t going to be that nice, since he wasn’t an artist of any sorts. but, he was sure it would go over well. however, just as he was about to do it, he saw a familiar face; which made duri light up more. “daisuke!” he shouted, waving his hand. “do you want to build a sandcastle with me?”
