“do you realize that we’ve known each other for like eight years, and yet i feel like i don’t know a single thing about you?” she looked over at her label mate sitting across from her, coffee in her hand as she stared at him with a look of almost regret. yujin had almost made it her life goal to befriend everybody at gold star, but it always felt like saehyun had a wall around him, and although she tried she could never break it down. their meeting today was completely coincidental, and although it looked like he wanted to get out of there, both their managers had gone out, leaving the two of them alone at the company cafe. “anyway, we have tons of time on our hands, so why not try to make up lost time?” clapping her hands together, she glanced at saehyun with sparkling eyes.

          he was strolling backstage, on the hunt for something. that something just happened to be a water bottle. he needed something to cold drink from the warmness that was surrounding them in the venue. so, as he lingered around he kept his eyes out for what he was searching and once he had found the machine, he scored high. not because he found it, but because once he had gotten, he was lucky enough to get two out of it. which managed to make him a bit over the moon because when does anything like that ever happen? he was truly about to frolic around that backstage as if he was going through a field of freshly bloomed flowers. 

but, just as he was about to turn around, he accidentally knocked himself into someone. “oops! sorry!” he says, before stepping back to bow, simply as a sign of apology. he looked up with a smile on his face. “hi! you’re saehyun, right?” he asked, he’s seen him before, and was a familiar face; so, he was easy for duri to remember. he held out the second water bottle that he was holding, “would you like a water?”

A few dance competitions before he joined Gold Star. He was scouted in one of them. He has a few trophies, got some cash prize as well, and he has a shelf for his trophies in his apartment right below the shelf for Origin’s trophies.

“You know..” Minki started, his chopsticks poking around in the takeout container slowly, trying to pick out the pieces of meat he wanted versus the pieces that he would save for later. He always went for the pieces that had the most sauce on them first. Call him impatient, but he liked to have the best of what the container had to offer before he ate the leftover scraps. 

“A lot more people would think you’re nice if you just smiled a little bit more,” he teased, a smile spreading across his face as he looked at the other male. They were seated on a blanket near the Han River, enjoying a little bit of food and the nice weather before the seasons began to change. Minki didn’t have many schedules lined up for the month, so he used his downtime to do the things he enjoyed - like spending time with his friends. 

He wasn’t really sure if Saehyun fell into the friend category or not, but they hadn’t really talked about that. It was like some kind of murky, limbo area that the two of them refused to touch base on. For Minki, he was okay with what they were for the time being. It was nice being able to spend time with someone without it being forced into a box with a label on it. Could what they were doing in that moment be considered a date? Maybe, but for the time being it was just two friends catching up after insanely busy schedules. With the addition of one friend teasing the other. “I’m surprised you don’t have any permanent frown lines.”
