It's quite a funny thing
When you like someone a lot and you can't be with them. I really dislike it, but it's happened quite a lot. I learned a lot from the first time it happened a few years back . Then it happened again and taught me a little more. This time, I don't feel like there's anything to learn about it. All it's doing is tying me down while I try to pick myself up and move on. There are a few people who are telling me to keep trying because if I really want it, it's worth the effort. I don't believe that, though. It'd be wasting my time. Stating my feelings wouldn't do anything, and I know that it won't in this instance. I know what I have to do; accept what's happening and move on. Focus on myself. Live for myself. Keep treading forward even if it hurts. That's easier said than done, though. I'm tired of my mind full of thoughts about this, and it doesn't seem to have a shut-off switch.
The only way that things would have a chance of happening is if I changed everything about myself. Which, I'm sorry...I can't do. Not because it's impossible for me, but I can't bring myself to do it. No one's worth changing your whole being for. They take you as you are, flaws and all, if they truly care. I just have to accept the reality of this and of a few other situations. I've got nothing to learn, just have to refine my recovery. :/
