Most Heart Breaking Drabble || Darin and Whitney

pcisoned feel my pain plz

The hunt had finally ended. The man walking the streets, killing people at random had finally be cornered. Darin ducked under the table in the motel room, urging Whitney to get the fuck down already. Bullets sprayed through the windows, the slugs littering the ground around him. Sirens drowned out any noise. Why the fuck was she just standing there? Darin pulled on Whitney’s arm, urging her to get under the table. No longer caring about himself, he left the safety of the table and wrapped his arms around her, ducking down to get her under the table.

“Ah, fuck!” He shouted out, a bullet tearing through his shoulder. His weight gave out for a second, almost crushing her. He steadied himself on one arm, examining the wound briefly. She stared at him, doe-eyed. What once he drew him to her was the most frustrating thing he’d ever seen. “I’ve got to stop this, Whit...” He mumbled quietly. “They won’t stop until they get me.” He brushed hair from her face and kissed her lips softly, sound dying around him. Bullets turned into stars, sirens were nothing but a dull hum.

He closed his eyes, willing himself to stand as fast as he could from under the table. “See you on the other side, babe.” He lulled. When she grabbed at his arm, he turned to shove her away. He needed to scare her away from him. With his mind telling him no, his body reacted. He swung at her, hitting her in the face until she had no choice but to cower. She looked like a battered, bloody angel. Knuckles covered in blood and skin split, Darin carefully walked to the door. He kicked it twice to signify he was coming out.

The bullets ceased. He turned the knob, pulling the door with his foot. He raised his hands up, disarmed. He turned back at Whitney and smirked. Almost as if slow motion, he moved his hands like he was going for the top of his head. He withdrew a pistol from his waistband, a true sign of a death wish against over a dozen heavily armed police officers and SWAT teams. He aimed, never taking a single shot.

Red dots became bullet holes. His body shook and twisted with the force of the bullets, the hand holding the gun going limp. He dropped, his eyes locked on Whitney’s, though no heartbeat pumped the blood that has turned them red. Lifeless, a tear rolled down and across the bridge of his nose.

Monica held Damon’s hand for what felt like a century. “This wasn’t supposed to end, remember? ‘Let’s be together forever.’ You told me that.” She gripped his hand with her other, hoping it meant he wouldn’t let go. “Forever isn’t up yet. Don’t make me go.” Her voice broke. She knew she wasn’t safe anymore, but she didn’t care. She looked at the group approaching them. “Come with me.” When he didn’t move, she tried to pull him with her. He was older, stronger. She started to panic as the hunters grew closer. “I love you...” She whispered, before she ran as fast as her legs could carry her.

I hurt my leg in the damn shower tonight by bending it wrong and it took me like an hour to finally convince myself to get up and the shower water dehydrated the heck out of me so now my entire body feels wobbly and my eyes are freaking red. omfg I’m so upset. I can’t bend to grab stuff off the ground or anything and I am supposed to volunteer at a dog adoption tomorrow. I am so frustrated that this happened, what the hell..... :(
