requested by anon “Hello! Can you do a C!Dream Team x Fem!Reader where they all like her and Tommy notices and calls them out? Love your mc works <33″
summary tommy and the dream team find themselves together and far from home. as a harsh storm brews overhead, the only place they can go is to y/n l/n’s home, an ex of sapnap’s and friend to the other two dream team members. during their stay, tommy begins to notice several obvious violations of the bro code.
warnings swearing, mentions of injury, lots of jealousy and tension (but the funny kind)
note i made this draft BEFORE all of the allegations dropped and want to be completely clear that this is about the CHARACTERS and NOT THE PEOPLE. ‘cause fuck that guy, but i got a request to finally drop this fic and who am i to deny the people
gif cred belongs to @fefeps
somehow, tommy had found himself with the dream team. they wandered the world, far from any inkling of home, in search for safety. dark clouds were rolling across the sky, thunder rolling far in the distance. even just a forest would’ve provided enough shelter for them in their half-panicked, half-amused states.
when they finally came across a forest, there was a minor problem.
“why’s there just a line of concrete on the ground?” tommy questioned. the dream team all looked to each other before sapnap tackled tommy away from the solid line. “ow-! what the hell, man?!”
“don’t touch that line!” sapnap demanded with wide eyes, lifting himself off of the teen. “those who cross that line.. they suffer. they suffer a fate worse than death.”
“oh, come on,” dream wheezed as tommy brushed the dirt off of his clothes. “y/n is not that bad.”
“yes,” sapnap scoffed, “yes, she is! i stepped across the line on accident once and an arrow shot through my foot!” sapnap took off his boot and sock to reveal the indent of a scar through the top of his foot. tommy cringed while dream just rolled his eyes.
“she can be scary, i’ll give him that,” george spoke as sap slipped his footwear back on. “but i think she shot you because she doesn’t like you,” george giggled, dream snickering along as sapnap pursed his lips, his cheeks barely heating up with a blush.
“why doesn’t this woman like you?” tommy questioned with an amused smile.
“they used to date,” george explained through chuckles. “sapnap broke up with her because he’s scared of her.”
“i am not!” the boy defended over his friend’s laughter. “whatever! let’s just find somewhere else to take shelter..”
“dude, y/n owns this forest,” dream spoke, crossing his arms as the wind around them began to pick up. the slight humidity in the chill let them know the storm was getting closer. “we know this area; there’s not another safe place for miles. let’s just see if she’ll let us in.”
“she’s gonna leave me in the storm,” sapnap whined as they approached the solid line laid into the ground.
“at least the rest of us will be safe,” george teased. dream stepped into the territory first. when no arrows whizzed through the air, he signaled for every one else to follow. sapnap stayed close to his friends, eyes darting around the area as they walked through the dark shadows of the trees.
“is she, like, crazy or something?” tommy questioned as the wind continued to pick up around them. “sapnap’s shitting his pants right now.”
“y/n’s fine,” dream laughed. “she’s actually really cool. if she likes you.”
the blonde gave dream a look. “if?”
“i mean, look at sapnap.”
tommy nodded, looking back to the path ahead of them. “that’s fair.”
after a few more minutes of walking, they finally came across a large house in a clearing of the forest. tommy marveled at the prestigious dark oak building, the obvious craftsmanship shining through the outer walls and décor. “should we knock?”
“no,” dream sighed. “she knows we’re here.”
“what do you want, boys?” tommy looked around for the feminine voice that had spoken, but saw nobody around them.
“there’s a storm coming, y/n,” george called out. “can we stay until it passes? we won’t be a bother!”
tommy finally pinpointed her: a pretty girl standing on a balcony attached to the roof, head in her hand as she sighed down at them. her e/c eyes swept over tommy as fluidly as the wind was. “who’s the blonde boy?”
“tommy,” dream spoke for him. he nodded in affirmation.
“one of the l’manberg boys?” she questioned. she didn’t wait for an answer before sighing again, “alright. no wars in my house.” she leant back and flicked a lever and the heavy door swung open for them. they piled into the house just as she came down the stairs for a proper greeting. “evening, boys.”
“hey, y/n,” dream greeted, george waving kindly beside him.
“how long have you been wandering around the area?” she asked, tucking her hands into her back pockets. “i live a little far from the smp.”
“a couple hours,” sapnap offered.
she swept her gaze just barely over the man. “you’re still alive?”
tommy stifled a loud laugh as sapnap grumbled, avoiding y/n’s eyes, “good to see you, too, y/n.”
she didn’t react, just turning back to the other three with a half-smile. “hungry?”
...
the boys sat around while y/n prepared a nice meal for them, shedding off their armor and taking the time to relax as the rain began to fall harshly against the earth.
tommy had been scanning the map he had brought with him when he heard george speak in the distance, “need any help?” he peeked over to see george standing beside y/n in the kitchen, smiling kindly at the woman.
“i’m alright, george,” she brushed before giving him a smile in return. “thank you, though.”
“‘course,” he nodded before heading back into the lounging area they had all gathered in. tommy raised his eyebrow at the blush on george’s cheeks, but wasn’t able to say anything when him and the other boys began to speak quietly to each other.
y/n called them into the kitchen soon after.
“alright,” she hummed, beginning to set warm plates in front of them as they sat at her kitchen table. “salmon, salad, and corn is on the menu for this evening.” sapnap cringed. “and i know you’re weird about salmon, sapnap, so..” his face lit up when he saw the steak she set down in front of him.
“i-” he cut himself off when he looked at you, his cheeks heating up at the thought of whatever he was going to say. he looked back down to his plate. “thank you, y/n.”
“no problem,” she nodded politely. “eat up, boys.”
“are you not gonna eat with us, y/n?” dream asked as they all dug into their meals. a distant crash of thunder echoed.
the girl shrugged as she began to clean the pans she had cooked with. tommy noticed a plate set to the side, presumably her own. “i was going to let you boys have your time.”
“it’s your house, y/n,” dream snickered. “come eat with us.”
she offered a half smile before setting down the dishes and wiping her hands off. “you’re a convincing man, dream,” she sighed as she grabbed her plate, taking the empty seat between him and george. dream smiled.
“i know.”
she shook her head at him before redirecting her attention to tommy. “so tommy, how’s l’manburg?”
“it’s good,” tommy nodded after swallowing his flavorful bite of salmon. “we’ve had a population spike recently, so it’s been hectic, but we’re managing well.”
y/n nodded along. “you’re young, but you seem..” she picked at her food as she considered her words. “confident. that’s a good trait to have. maybe a result of having a good influence in your life.”
“my brother’s wilbur soot,” he clarified, noting how dream pursed his lips at just the name of the l’manburg president.
“ohh,” she hummed. “i know your brother. and your father, for that matter.”
“yeah,” sapnap backed up, eyes locked on his plate. “she knows your brother very well.”
y/n furrowed her brow at the black-haired man. “right.” she turned back to tommy after rolling her eyes at the lack of response from the annoyed man. “so you and wilbur built the nation together?”
“yes ma’am,” tommy nodded. “wilbur always told me that government provides a necessary stability in our lives. maybe he’s crazy, but..”
“he’s definitely crazy,” dream agreed and y/n sent him a glare as tommy rolled his eyes.
“well,” y/n continued, slowly peeling her glare from the masked man to look back to tommy, “that’s one place where wilbur and i disagree.” she shrugged as she stabbed at her food. “government seems like a scam to me.”
tommy furrowed his brow. “can i ask how?”
“governments always advertise the same line,” she spoke with hesitation, “‘by the people, for the people’. but that’s all forgotten when you realize that not all people are the same.” tommy pursed his lips when y/n busied herself with taking a bite of food, considering the brutal words.
“have you ever met my other brother?” he spoke instead of spewing the less kind words that came to mind.
she thought for a moment before shaking her head. “can’t say i have.”
tommy nodded, pointing his fork at her. “you’d like him.”
she let out a laugh, and tommy caught george’s lips quirk into a smile as he looked to the girl. “so, how is wilbur? it’s been a while since i’ve seen him.”
“can we not talk about him?” sapnap spoke abruptly, dropping his fork with a clatter to his plate. his eyes were shut with obvious annoyance.
y/n turned to him with raised brows as tommy’s gaze switched tensely between the two. george and dream seemed less than fazed. “you can try to argue, but you’re gonna lose,” she spoke calmly, eyes meeting with sapnap’s when he finally opened them again. the man clenched his jaw before pushing back his chair harshly and stomping out of the room.
y/n just sighed, turning to a frowning dream and a pursed-lipped george. “i know you guys don’t wanna hear either. go after him, ‘cause i’m not going to disrupt good conversation to appease other people.”
george immediately pushed away from the table, grabbing his half-eaten plate as he chased after his friend. dream pushed away slower, leaning down to kiss y/n’s cheek and mutter a, “i’m sorry and thank you,” before following george.
tommy blinked in surprise after they were gone. “i’m, uh..” he looked back over to y/n. “i’m assuming you had a thing with my brother?”
she shook her head. “no, i didn’t.” tommy raised his eyebrows curiously as she continued, “when i was still with sapnap, wilbur did ask me out. i said no, and we were still friends, but sapnap never let it go. honestly, i don’t know why he still hasn’t..”
“it seems like it bothers the others boys, too,” tommy noted.
y/n shrugged, taking a bite of her food. “those two.. are strange. i imagine they just became protective of me because i dated someone they’re best friends with.” the answer didn’t quite sit right with tommy.
“right..”
she gave him a look. “you think they’re in love with me, too.”
tommy immediately spoke through a mouth full of food, “too?!”
y/n snickered at his interest. “what, you think i could be oblivious to it all? no, sapnap and i dated for two years before he cut it off. dream and george have always been like that around me, even before we started dating. it’s like it’s always been a competition of who’s the least scared to approach y/n.”
“he cut it off?” tommy spoke with interest.
she nodded, leaning back in her chair casually. “every couple goes through a fighting phase. it’s usually toward the beginning of the relationship, like ours was, because you’re still learning how you and your partner fit together.” tommy nodded. “but the fighting phase should not last for a year.”
tommy’s jaw dropped. “A YEAR?!”
you chuckled at his expression. “some people just don’t mix. but we were trying really hard to, and it took a while to just accept that we just.. didn’t.” you shrugged when tommy frowned. “sure, it’s sad. at the end of the day, sapnap is a good guy and he’ll always have a place in my heart where i can remember the good of that relationship. but we hurt each other a lot more than we helped each other.”
just then, sapnap walked slowly into the kitchen, as if trying not to startle a flighty animal. “hey, y/n, the storm isn’t looking like it’s going to lighten anytime soon, and-”
“you can all take the guest room,” you cut in, your tone a tad sharper than it was with tommy. “but the second the storm lightens, get out of here.” you turned a sardonic smirk up to him, watching a blush erupt on his cheeks. “you're good at leaving after you get what you want, anyway.”
sapnap turned with a roll of his eyes, smartly keeping his lips shut, and you turned your smirk to an amused tommy. “still gotta give him hell for breaking up with me, though.”
“respect,” tommy nodded. as you took a few more bites of your food, he gathered the courage to ask, “so you haven’t dated the other two, have you?”
you let out a chuckle, but otherwise seemed unsurprised by his question. “no, those two are just friends. i can see where you got the thought, considering they act ridiculous around me, but we’re just friends.”
“doesn’t it bother sapnap?” tommy gossiped curiously. “or did, when you were together?”
you nodded as you took a sip of water. “oh yeah. they’re all bugged by each other’s interactions with me. but they’re like petty girls and don’t say a word about it.” tommy snickered as you shrugged. “that’s just how it’s always been.” tommy nodded, turning his gaze down to his plate. “so, how is wilbur?”
later that evening, the storm was showing no sign of lightening. fortunately, your guest room had two beds and a grand amount of blankets for the boys to work with.
“if you need anything, i’m down the hall,” you yawned as the men settled in, leaning on the doorframe. “i have an early morning, so if i don’t catch you before you leave, safe travels back to your places, boys.”
george latched onto you in a tight hug, muttering something into your hair that tommy couldn’t hear but made you smile. dream swept in next, turning his mask to press another kiss to your cheek, taking more time with this one. tommy nearly gagged as dream muttered something in your ear, hand lingering in a cradle on your chin. you turned to give tommy a half-smile as they stepped away.
“do good things, kid,” you spoke, gaze sweeping over him as it did when he first approached. “you’ve got it in you.” his chest warmed with a small swell of pride and gratitude.
“you have a friend in l’manburg if you ever decide to visit,” he offered with a smile.
“thank you,” you nodded, and he could tell you were biting your tongue at some smart comment. he appreciated the gesture. your gaze finally turned to sapnap, whose stare was as stony as it could be. “safe travels.” your gaze stayed locked on him as you straightened and disappeared down the hall, and tommy could always feel the lingering of that stare in the air. when he looked, sapnap was tomato red.
and the other boys just looked satisfied with themselves as they settled into their arrangements.
“what?” dream scoffed, and tommy realized he was shaking his head.
he scoffed back, “i have never seen a group of men break the bro code so much in the span of two hours. you’re like schoolgirls.” he watched the men’s faces all drop their satisfied looks just before he blew out the candle providing the main light in the room. “good night, losers.”

You're a new streamer on the block. Maybe in past eras, this wouldn't be the greatest for you, but during a worldwide lockdown when people have too much free time on their hands, this has been great for you. You've relatively avoided struggling to gain a handful of viewers, and the people you find in your chat are usually very nice. You have your own tiny community of five thousand Twitch followers and nine thousand YouTube subscribers just a few months into your streaming journey.
Now, you're no TommyInnit by any means. You haven't been into gaming content as long as he has, and you aren't part of the world's biggest Minecraft SMP either. You're not loud and slightly obnoxious for the bit, you're not as natrually funny as he is. But you're not aiming to be like him or anyone else on that SMP. You want to be yourself, exploring the limits of your own multiplayer world that only you play on.
You've been looking for other small streamers to play with, since your friends either don't play Minecraft on PC or don't want to be on your streams. You've DM'ed some smaller creators through Twitter and Tumblr, but you never got answers. So, for now, it'll just be you, building a functioning town for your future guests.
There's a small logging area you made in a more woodsy area of the town, surrounded by trees. You left some iron axes in barrels beside chests filled with different types of wood and saplings and a little sign over it, reading something along the lines of replanting what you take down. You have multiple restaurants, different buildings for different villagers, and even a thrift store for unwanted armor and items for your future guests to rummage through for free.
To say you craved having a friend on this server was an understatement.
But here you are, streaming to about three thousand viewers on a random Saturday afternoon. You're deep in a cave, looking for coal and underground blocks to use for some builds. A mineshaft would be cool, too. But for now, you're happy gathering resources for your new apartment complex.
It's heavily inspired by an idol of yours' build from the past, Stampy's rainbow themed tower / hotel build. Except, you were using diorite and andesite outside and some wood logs, and you decided to change up the rainbow scheme, red on top and purple on the bottom. He had his red on the bottom and purple on top, at least, that's how you remember it.
Soft lofi music plays in the background of your stream since you can't find a way to talk 24/7 to entertain your viewers, and you don't like listening to Minecraft noise, especially cave noises. You fear you'll end up in some horror arg and get kidnapped by some mythical entity or the government and get trapped in the game forever. Not seriously, but on the down low... sorta.
It's a chill stream, something your viewers can have on as background noise while they play their own games or try to lock in on the thirty missing assignments they need to make up. Or, maybe, someone has you on in the background while they play Wii Sports. Who knows.
Tommy likes streaming at random, unannounced hours sometimes. Just to have a low viewer count, he guesses. It's a little less pressuring, y'know? Sometimes, he just likes to stream on his own, searching through random clips people have sent into his server.
He'll even give his fans some recommendations of other smaller-ish creators to hype up. Sometimes, even his pre-existing friends. Freddie, Max, Harry. Those cool guys.
But seems it may be your turn.
Someone had sent in a clip of you, a very, very embarrassing clip of you, screaming like a baby after being scared shitless by Nightmare Fredbear in FNAF 4. You managed to push yourself so hard away from your desk and PC that you wound up on the floor, crashing down against your chair. Your face would be perfect for a scared / shocked reaction image to the point you couldn't be mad if people started doing that.
But that one clip got Tommy interested.
"Dude, who is this?!"
He skims through his live chat, hoping someone in superchat will send an answer. With how fast the chat moves, he can barely read any replies with genuine answers.
He finds it, though, a watermark on the video that was sent in. He sighs and playfully smacks his own forehead before carefully retyping your username out onto the Twitch search bar. He's determined to find you.
"I said next person we find who's actually live is getting ten gifted," he smiles, "Let's hope they are. That shit was funny. They deserve it."
He finds your profile in an instant after the search actually loads. And there you are, actually streaming. He seems sort of surprised, really. He joins the stream in silence, just picking up what you're putting down.
Seems you're building now, organizing colored glass in your inventory, moving stacks of blocks between chests. He's actually engaged in whatever visually satisfying loop you have him stuck in before he actually speaks.
"Oh, shit, they-that's cool."
Smooth, dude. Smooth.
"Time to gift," he smirks deviously, frantically typing in his beloved card info onto the Twitch purchase page. "Did I say ten? Or a hundred?"
His chat spams different answers, half of them wanting Tommy to overgift you for the absoloute dub on your part, and the other half just wanting to be honest in case he did somehow forget. All the while, you're blissfully unaware, listening to copyright free CG5 and Derivakat as you build.
You seem so at piece in your little facecam. A small smile tugs at the corners of your lips. It sort of hurts his heart. You seem so wholesome and full of love for your whole five thousand fans, meanwhile he's leading a train of thirty thousand rowdy teenagers towards you. He's thinking about sending a DM to you through Twitter after this, just as a formal apology. He fears the toxic viewers may try to come for your head in all honesty.
"Oh, shit, what's my pin..."
"I'm sorry, who just gifted a hundred subs?!"
You squint as you frantically look through your Twitch notifs. And there you find it. Your eyes were not making all that up.
You read the notification as the little gift boxes spin across your livestream. "TommyInnit gifted one hundred subs."
You stare at your webcam with a mix of shock and surprise, "I- What? Dude, thank you so much?" you speak with a heavy tone of confusion, "I promise not everything I say is a question, I'm just, what???"
A small chuckle escapes your lips, "Wow. Man, thank you, seriously. That's... so much money. How much is that??"
Before you can even attempt to worry about how much that rambunctious teen spent on your stream, he answers you through superchat, where your robot voice is just a setup voice of Ash from Pokemon.
"No need to worry. I'm loaded."
"You're gloating," you correct, "I dunno what I'm doing that's deserving of one hundred gifted."
You get a reply not long after.
"You getting scared in FNAF 4 is worthy."
You know exactly what he's talking about.
You snort. "Shut the fuck up. Do not speak of that clip."
Your chat explodes with spinning cats. It's their way of smirking at you all suspiciously like they're your best friend watching you talk to your crush.
"This is embarrassing. How'd you actually end up here? Your viewers are starting to invade my stream now."
"Discord clip night. I dunno. You're funny (looking)."

Summary: Tommy is angry at others, so he comes to a hidden spot to avoid them, only to be found by reader, and he's glad to be found.
A/N: I know i implied i mayyy not write for now since if ykyk, but i couldn't resist myself from finishing it. And hey, i'm home from the hospital now, and i feel motivated lmao
The bench is splintering. Tommy notices first that the grass is too tall, that the surroundings are too quiet today, that he has been sitting there long enough for the sun to dip low and start painting everything gold... no. The bench is splintering, and he is picking at it like it personally offended him.
And it probably did.
He is angry, not sure if it's a tired angry or a loud angry. He's just... angry. Everyone keeps talking over him lately. Telling him what to do, what not to do, who to trust, who not to trust, etc. He is always wrong, apparently. Somehow to everyone, he's too loud, too reckless, and too much.
He had said it earlier without really thinking. "I just wish everyone would stop. Just leave me alone, okay?!"
And now he is alone, all because of his saying and fault.
He is at the little clearing by the ravine, the one tucked behind the half grown oak trees where the dirt dips and the air always smells like stone and moss, and nostaglic. The only spot nobody really knows about.
Nobody except you.
He hears the leaves crunch before he sees who it was.
He does not look up at first. "If that’s you, Tubbo, I swear...” he mutters, still picking at the bench, "I will actually explode."
You do not say anything. You just step into the clearing and sit down beside him like you have done a hundred times before.
"Not Tubbo," you say softly.
"Oh." Tommy says, as if he just realized.
"You're not here to tell me I'm being a knob, right?" Says tommy after a long pause.
"Nope."
"Or that I should apologise."
"Nope."
"Or that I started it." Tommy tries again.
You bump your shoulder lightly into his, "Even if you did."
That gets the smallest huff of laughter out of him, for the first time today.
He finally looks at you. His eyes are red around the edges, but not crying. He would hate it if you pointed that out, so you do not.
"You're the only one who knows about this spot." He says, quieter now. "I didn't tell anyone else. Not even Tubbo."
"I know."
"I didn't want anyone else here."
You nod again, "I know."
He stares at you like he is trying to figure something out. Like he is waiting for you to pull out a lecture or a disappointed sigh or some grand speech about responsibility and leadership and growing up, or he wants to ask you desperately what you were doing here when he wanted to see no one, but he doesn't. And that is what he doesn't like most about himself.
You just sit there, and that concerns Tommy, somehow.
The wind moves through the trees. Somewhere far off, someone sets off fireworks. Probably Quackity, or Wilbur.
Tommy's shoulders drop a little.
"They just keep looking at me like I’m going to mess it up again," He says finally, "Like I always do."
You pick at the bench too, right next to where he has been tearing at it. "You mess things up because you are still growing up."
"That's not how that works."
"It kind of is."
He frowns, "You're supposed to agree with me. That's how this works. I complain, and you say 'yeah, everyone else sucks,' and then we go blow something up."
You grin. "We can still blow something up."
That earns you a real laugh this time. It cracks out of him, surprised and bright and so painfully Tommy that it makes your chest ache with happiness.
Then it fades again. (ooc: bitchy/j)
"I just wanted it to be quiet," he admits.
"Just for a bit. No one needs something from me. No one is blaming me for something. Just quietness. And i being a kid again."
You look around the clearing. The trees. The ravine. The way the sun is setting down.
"It is quiet," you say, not really commenting on the last comment. Because you can't, you don't have any words for that, and you wish you knew what to say or do.
He swallows.
"Well, yeah. Yeah, it is."
Another pause.
Then, softer, almost embarrassed, "You don’t annoy me, by the way."
"Oh, wow. Highest honour." You reply sarcastically.
"I’m serious." He nudges your knee with his, "You don’t look at me like I’m about to ruin everything."
You just shrug. "That’s because you’re not."
"You don’t know that."
"I do."
He studies your face like he is searching for doubt, for hesitation, for that flicker of uncertainty he has gotten so used to seeing in everyone else.
He does not find it, and that relives him.
"You're so stupidly loyal," He says, but it does not sound like an insult.
You reply easily, "Only to you."
"Well, you shouldn’t be." He says, a bit frustrated.
"Too bad." You shrug.
The sun dips lower. The sorrounding grows cooler.
After a minute, he lets his head tilt sideways until it rests against your shoulder.
He lets out a slow breath.
"They can all be mad," he murmurs. "I don’t care. Not anymore."
You hum, "Sure you don’t."
"Shut up."
But there is no bite to it. Just tiredness, and relief.
